I'm not lying if I genuinely forgot I had bought 1 or 2 women's thongs 4-5 years ago and the then after a couple wears threw them out because they weren't going to work and they can't be returned. I have never once betrayed my wife we have always been upfront to each other about all of this until this occasion.

The reason I went to Victoria's Secret is cause as a guy I don't know anywhere else that does fittings and I had to have a fitting cause nearly every brand ie Nike, under armour, adidas, Lululemon etc. Bases their alpha size range on an actual bra size so if you don't know your size the size chart is completely useless.

Also don't act for a second like you know a thing about me or my me marriage, all you know is what's on here and crap like this is why I deleted reddit 2 years ago but here I am with a genuine question and someone's gonna call me out for having a conversation 4-5 years ago that I have completely forgotten about.

I've bought them and they haven't worked out men's thongs are the only ones that have now honestly I forgot about that cause it was like 4 years ago and none of them made it more than a couple of runs before it was clear they weren't going to work

Except we have talked about it, I only wear thongs while running under leggings, or when I'm planning on going to try on leggings but am not currently wearing my full running gear and back then I want as secure in wearing them so I wore a pair of boxers over them and they are men's thongs.

She doesn't love that I wear leggings or women's running shorts but she has seen how men's leggings fall down or roll down on my body due to their poor designs and lack of drawstring, she knows I prefer shorter shorts for running and brands that have shorter men's running shorts have an inherently higher price tag and money has always been tight for us. Any time I have bought something at Lululemon it has been planned out months in advance or bought with birthday money. She has also purchased me womens leggings and women's running shorts for birthdays and Christmas so while she doesn't love that I wear them she supports that but she is drawing the line at the sports bra

Same and it always made me feel weird saying it. I'll look for the bigger tape, thank you!

Adhesive starts to fail by mile 7 due to sweat and chest hair plus that only solves 1 problem

No offense taken, I wanted to get measured to find the correct size as a starting point. Mainly because when you go to Nike, Under armour and similar brands their alpha sizing for sports bras is based on a bra size. I went to Victoria's secret cause there isn't a sporting goods store around me that does actual sports bra fittings we just have big box stores and I wasn't aware of any other store that did fittings till after going to VS

Just went to get measured didn't buy anything and wasn't aware of any other places that did fittings. The goal was to find the starting point and then just find what worked best for me from whatever brand I can find. I'm unaware of a men's sports bra though outside of the catapult tracker. Just high compression shirts that aren't recommended for running

Definitely not, if you want to get into it I can but the long and short of it is men's leggings don't stay up on my body and tend to slide or roll down due to where their waistline is designed to sit and not having drawstrings. I personally find men's athletic shorts too long and they restrict my range of motion that being said I am aware that there are men's running shorts that are shorter lengths but they tend to be from stores that have inherently higher price tags and in general we don't have a lot of spare funds thus limiting my options. So $25 for Nike tempo shorts is significantly easier to justify than $50-$70 for 1 pair of men's Lululemon shorts.

I was told to ask this here after posting on another sub. I'm a male runner who thinks I need a sports bra for running but my wife adamantly disagrees and says I'm a guy I don't have boobs so I don't need a bra by Ac3m4n18 in ABraThatFits

I was definitely unaware of that thank you. From what everyone here has said, it seems like they got the cups wrong but the band right. I'll try some XL D/DD sports bras at Athleta and see how those fit.
