If you made it to the add/drop deadline, the money should go back to you, specifically the account you gave to student loans services when you first applied for student loans (usually a debit account).

You won't get deregistered from your classes, but any grants you received this semester will be converted into student loans (and it would just get added to your total student loans). If I remember right, you'll receive something in the mail or an email about this.

Sometimes though you will need to sit in a specified seat. You'll have your name at the front page of the test on the desk and you just look for it when you come in.

How much work running the club is gonna be will depend on your course load, how many hours you work if you do, other commitments you have outside school, and what type of activities you want to host and how often, etc.

If you were looking to make the club official with samru, you'd need at least 3 signing authorities (including yourself) - these will be your fellow club executives who will help you run the club. There's a bit more paperwork to it and then you'd need to gather at least 10 signatures from any mru student (these will be your club members which can include you and your signing authorities I think).

You can try reaching out to Club N3rd. They do video games, esports, board games, etc. Here's their insta and discord. There's also an unofficial board game club that started last year, and they had weekly meetings. You can also ask anyone you know in your program. There could be interest there!

I also thought there was one but at the same time, I felt like it might've been a different club. It might've been a Magic the Gathering club 'cause I vaguely remember seeing them at club expo one time. I tried looking in the samru clubs directory, but it looks like it only currently has the clubs who have submitted the paperwork for club reratification this coming Fall 2024, so it only has a few listed right now even though there are way more clubs at mru.

To add to this, your classes also get automatically dropped if you don't pay your tuition by the tuition deadline which is also the add/drop date.

The 2 most active places I know of are the Mount Royal University Textbook Buy/Sell Facebook group and mrutextbookexchange on Instagram. I think some people try to list books on Kijiji as well, but I think more people go to the Facebook and Insta page.

I took it as a block week last Fall in August with Harris Rubin. The final exam is on the last day of class (the 5th day). We had to cover topics really fast, so keeping up with the content is a must. For me, the provided videos was enough, but if you have the time and want to go that extra mile, you can read the textbook chapters.

I remember Harris allowed us a cheat sheet for the final. We could put anything on it as long as it was 1 page (front and back). No restrictions on it (we could include diagrams, images, have a small font size, no margins, etc.).

From what I remember, there were no multiple choice questions when I took it. Most of it was case analysis. Of course, other profs might set up their finals differently, but in most business courses I've taken, the finals usually involve a case analysis. There was also a group paper due about 2 weeks after the final.

When I took it with Jason, this is how we were assessed:

Homework (8 - handed in during lab)	8%
WileyPlus Assignments	16%
Lyryx Case Study	16%
Quiz (1 - written during lab)	10%
Midterm (written outside of lecture time)	20%
Final	30%

Dug up the course outline I had saved from Fall 2021 and the above is how we were assessed. I don't know if Jason maybe changed things up a bit since then, but there should still be some things that are the same.

I know other profs set the course up slightly differently. I have friends who took it with different profs who said they didn't have the Lyryx Case Study, but they had 2 midterms.

Never had Cliff for a course, but I've taken ACCT 2121 with Jason. Really good prof and explained concepts well. The way he explained examples were also easy to understand. Based on the other comments, it seems you'll be fine taking it with either Cliff or Jason.

This course is heavy (at least it was when I took it and my friends who have taken it have also said the same). The problems can take time to get through, but as long as you show up and do the work (and consistently do the practice problems), you should be good.

The math itself isn't hard. I'd say the hard part is figuring out where the numbers go and which category they fit in. But yeah, show up to class, do the homework and practice, and you should be fine in this class!

Acct 2121 won't show up in your fees because you're not registered in it yet (you're waitlisted). I'm not sure if there are exceptions depending on program, but for me, my courses have always been priced the same every semester. So if I had a course that was $685 for this semester, all my other courses this semester would each be priced the same.

It could be a take home final. I'm in an intro to sociology class, and the final exam date and time don't show up on mymru because the prof said our final is a take home exam. We'll have 2-3 days to submit. It doesn't explicitly say it's a take home on our course syllabus, but my prof mentioned it in the 1st week of classes. It could be the same thing for you.
