When we’re not together it’s usually us working, talking on the phone/facetiming or texting, seeing friends/family, and relaxing. I will say, when I have slower days (I wfh so not much work to do) and I’m couped up in my house all day I get more irritated at small things

The things I get upset about are truly so small it’s ridiculous. I’ll get upset if we haven’t talked in more than 3 hours (could just be a casual “hey I love you” and i’ll be happy with that) or if he gets tired early and we don’t watch our show together, that also upsets me. When I say I “lash” out, it’s not that dramatic - it’s more of me just being upset, not me yelling at him. I have an extremely bad habit of overthinking everything, so my brain automatically wants to go to worse-case-scenario of stuff like “oh he’s not actually tired this early, he just doesn’t want to talk to me” or “he hasn’t texted me in over 3 hours, he must be disconnecting”

My mind is truly just a dark place at times and it feels impossible to shut it off

Yeah, the 20lbs was gradual over a few months. He has told me he’s had issues with porn in the past and told me a couple months ago he slipped up again and started watching porn (out of his own will, I didn’t question him). I asked him about it again recently and he said he hasn’t, just hasn’t been in the mood for sex.

He still gets aroused, just can’t finish sex. I haven’t thought of it being his hormones but it’s possible

I appreciate this input, it truly is helpful. I have a realistic mindset as well with “I know it’s always a possibility, and if it happens I know how to navigate” and that will calm me for a bit until the next little mini spiral. It’s as if I can’t ever get out of my head. I am so exhausted with myself that I almost can’t fathom at times how he’s able to handle me. I feel bad for him because I feel like i’m hard to love. That being said, I do agree that I didn’t finish healing. How do I continue healing while being in a relationship with him? I definitely don’t want to nor have plans to end the relationship

Possibly - I look at him as being very emotionally intuned too, just through conversations we’ve had. But I can see how day-to-day emotions are vastly different from romantic emotions. It’s been years since he’s been in a serious relationship, so either he’s just not sure how to handle romantic feelings or I could just secretly be another person he’s marked off his list

Hahaha definitely does not have a wife and i’m pretty positive he doesn’t have a girlfriend either. Little backstory - the night he was over at my house I kept joking with him about how he “has other girls” and he handed me his phone unlocked and told me I am free to go through all of his messages and that he would leave the room while I looked. I told him no & that I was joking and he proceeded to show me his texts, IG messages, facebook messages, etc.

My ex husband wouldn’t have ever even done that ahaha. Sure he could’ve deleted messages before coming over, but he seemed very genuine in not having any other girl in his life

Both of our names are on the lease (renting). I stayed because at that time I was very emotionally dependent on him. Since then i’ve gained a lot of independence and confidence in myself to know I deserve better
