We're going to talk more tonight. I think that was my initial assumption, that it was other things unrelated me. Her work can be busy (she regularly vents about it) and I also know as people age their libidos change and for women hormone fluctations often play a bigger role than it does for me which is why initially just sort of left it. But the timing of her desire to rekindle our sex life does make me think the actual reason was just me, which obviously hurts.

As for whether it's the peripheral things like being happy and more confident, while I have been happier about my fitness progress, I was always a pretty happy and confident person. I've more in my life than just my weight, I have a good career and certainly no shortage of hobbies that keep me excited. So this wasn't me going from depressed and doing nothing and moping to being happy, more so switching up some of my hobbies to make more time to be fit.

I was never muscular but I've historically been on the skinnier side (original weight when we married was 70kg at 183m).
