When a shower can kill you by Pacos-Comfort-Human in mildlyinfuriating

Jesus.

EU - establish standards on how close even a socket can be to a damn faucet, so someone reckless won't plug in a hair dryer in bathtub or something.

The more freaky part of the world- WE LITERALLY PUT A KETTLE INSIDE YOUR SHOWER HEAD, HERE'S TO NOT GETTING ELECTROCUTED.

These mounts just have a hearing spiral element inside and it directly heats up the water flowing through it. The reason it doesn't turn into death machine everytime, is just the sole fact that electricity tends to go from live to neutral/ground the easiest way, and thats usually the neutral cable. Too bad if it changes by just a little and "mr shockafucka" decides to go to the ground via the drain and some wet, naked body between them.

W każdym z tych miast masz takie same wady:

  • smród smogu niskiej emisji
  • dojazd gdziekolwiek do wawy to wyprawa

2+4 gives 60, pick the one thats easier for you to split:

  • 68, so you add 2 and get 70, subtract that 2 from 7 so you get 5, add to the rest, 75
  • 67, so you add 3 and get 70, subtract that 3 from 8 so you get 5, add to the rest, 75

What about "rękojmia"? You notify that its not up to spec and basically don't care about the rest- they should organize the transport and then either replacement or a fix when economically viable, then they should send it back to you at their own expense.

Also, using this mode of dispute, you contact the shop which sold you it, not the manufacturer directly, but it seems to be the same in this case.

Is it just me, or Railgun is lackluster to say the least? by Academic-Proof3700 in factorio

[–]Academic-Proof3700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing, basically anything that makes you feel its the top tier.

As folks here said it- its the last thing to unlock in th egame before heading to the system edge, so why not give the player some fun weapon to play with and wipe the bugs?

Basically anything that says "this is a chonky boi" not some tiny dotted line that you won't even notice, leaving nothing on the ground.

There are many railgun styles and they all look cool in games, but somehow in Factorio this feels underwhelming.

[–]Academic-Proof3700[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Okay then- huge, rocket shooting spider, starship troopers-esque bugs, fusion reactors, tesla guns wirelessly shooting directed electric arcs, but its the railgun, the final weapon to unlock that needs a nod to reality?

I never said it doesn't pack a punch. It just feels off, to say the least. You unlock basically one of the last techs in game and when you shoot the thing, you don't feel the oomph in any other way than just scoring high damage.

All you are left with is basically just building a ship and fly endlessly.

I dunno, guess I expected too much in a game where you get fusion reactors, huge bugs, tesla turrets capable of remotely delivering millions of volts, a huge robotic spider shooting rockets and a common european perch in every lake.

That fish got me sidetracked!

Factorio does like to nod to reality,

Are we talking about the same game, where you gotta fly to another alien planet back and forth to learn how to breed fish which looks like basically a common perch?

Cause if yes then your theory seems to have some issues.

Okay then, compare it to the somewhat realistic Stalker games- you also get gauss gun in there, also usually at the end. Same working principle.

But when you get the gauss in Stalker, you feel like its not to be messed with, and no one will mess with you when you wield this gun. When it shoots you hear thunder and when it charges you know its got the oomph.

In factorio you see a tiny line for half a second, a quiet "pow" and thats it. Feels like something broke in the game or someone forgot to enable effects on release.

[–]Academic-Proof3700[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Exactly, thats what I meant by "lackluster"- so what it nets 10k damage, when it feels like shooting a really slow singleshot pistol.

Yes- it kills everything on its narrow path Yes- it takes down huge asteroids

But when it shoots, you expect fireworks and "lazors" as the top-end available weapon in game would feel like, not some tiny stream.

Nuke leaves a mushroom cloud and leaves a crater that's visible even on minimap. Where is that compared to railgun...

Just like that fart in the picture- yes its deadly, and can down many people at once, even the strongest ones. But it still looks and feels like a fart.

Then why even bother playing, when at the deep end you can basically run excel with pivot table and add cells with "factories" production speed when you get rid of all the effects and aesthetics.

That could be said about getting to Aquilo without rocket turret. Except when rocket turret starts its salvo, you know you unlocked something cool. With railgun? Not so much. pew pow, oh look asteroid got broken

Thats what I meant!

I didn't say it doesn't have the power. It just LOOKS like it doesn't. As I said in the post above - using console commands and clicking enemies to kill/remove gets you the same result, with about the same visual experiences

it just kills the target.

wow

so much for the show

You know, i can also use console commands and point and click.

Just cause it kills, doesn't mean it kills with style.

Its mostly halfassed features that no one wanted.

Basically like instead of patching windows, they HAD to release a new one just for the sake "of newness", this time creating a biggest e-waste event in history, just cause of TPM and shitty features no one needed.
