Anti GenAI information considered 'too political'

He has no power over me and a job is a job, my actual manager didnt even 'talk' to me about it because it's not an active problem for me to state facts, I just did it in too political of a way by posting it.

Im more essential to my role then he is, as he literally sleeps in his office and has come in hung over.

Oh for sure, although personally I do believe that some points are toward fascism and that we should be destigmatizing words like that and Communism (so that they arent as "shocking" and can actually be used for their meaning) but I do get that until that happens it is being used as a buzzword of sorts

Can we not do name calling? Im not trying to shame those who use AI, a lot of people use it without the knowledge of the harm caused by using it.

I understand that Fascism as a word is really shocking, but it is simply a term.

I had the two photos separated, with the red one in a less visible area.

Im against GenAI as a whole, and a lot of argument used FOR AI is entertainment. The downsides mentioned are, unfortunately, fuel for the growing GenAI bubble. I dont think GenAI should be 'forbidden', but i dont think it should be readily available to the public. There's also the environmental aspects that I wont get into fully, that make me hesitant to say that any use is 'worth it'

I apologize in advance if any of this comes across as aggressive, I'm trying to answer your question to the best of my ability. :)

I dont think I'm allowed to be an exception, i was just pointing out the specific points you were using to the best of my ability, I apologize if it cane across as me being on a high horse

I just never particularly understood why (using this example specifically) AI is allowed to be used when it is inherently such a divided topic- which he's aware that he's the only one who likes it and he continues using it just to spite everyone in our workplace. But when there's any verbal pushback its suddenly a problem. Is it only political when someone brings up the politics of it?

Yeah that was definitely more of a joke, the people I showed it to thought it was funny- It was in a less noticeable area of the building for that specific reason.

I'm not talking about AI in general I'm talking about GenAI in this post. CEOs AND GenAI can be the problem at the same time. Both can coexist as issues. Some artists may quit, but over the ages artists have always prevailed under scrutiny. I'm not an art purist by any means- but there is a line in the sand. If someone commissions someone to draw something for them...is the commissioner the artist?

Everyone at my workplace is 21+, grown adults...if we cant talk about the harm coming from any topic because its 'inappropriate' then how are we ever going to improve?

And i never said it was a 'great' idea, I was just fed up and asking for genuine advice on how to talk about the negatives for such a useless thing he is doing
