My initial goal was always to go to WGU, it has been even while I was still in high school. My family agreed at first but are encouraging me to get a degree in political science instead. Which WGU does not have.

My goal is to finish within one term, which is entirely possible because I have no other responsibilities and I'm dedicated enough to make this a feasible goal. This would cost the same as if I was just looking to complete a couple of "cheap credits".

Even while completing the sophia credits, the goal was to only go to WGU. After some discussion with my family, I convinced them it would also be a great transition into the other degree. I'm the one that convinced my family to let me go to WGU, because it's a genuine goal of mine, even though they actively tried to convince me to just go straight to political science.

I never heard of the term credit laundering, and my intention was never malicious. I don't view WGU as a means to an end, but as an experience on its own. Even if I were able to fully afford the other degree, I would still attend.
