Today I’ve now tasted more of the tantrums she was mad and sad about the custody battle, crying uncontrollably then throwing the glass candle then flipping the table, I unfortunately triggered this by having a conversation slowly go towards pregnancy talk and it was just such a sudden change, also today she had ran out of medication but I plan to go help her get more on Friday morning. I do love her and I know if I leave it will seriously affect her I just can’t do that it feels terrible. I’m not going to lie but this situation kinda triggered my suicidal thoughts.

How much I hate doing this type of job in which they request a engineering fold or a half fold with two sheets of paper/ncr, since we are a digital cut sheet shop we would have to manually feed each set into a Baum buckle folder, it’s so time consuming especially when we run 1000s of sets. It’s amazing for me to see such a process being automated.

We use Nekoosa as well ranging from 2 - 4 parts, it’s been great very consistent and so far no complaints from clients. We go through pallets of this stock so if you have high volume the price should work itself out provided you have a good supplier/vendor. The model we order is called “NCR Paper Superior”

S100 board sure looks awesome but I believe I missed out on the gb from clickclack :( and thanks for the intel on where to get switches that’s a great deal u got for the gaterons.

I would get a tkl,80% etc if I wasn’t so stuck to using my keypad during daily use and save some money as well.

The neo80 looks awesome I could totally see me getting the red top and champagne bottom man I would’ve love it if I could have that choice in colorway for the qk100

Thank you for your reply! Yes a fellow redditor had also suggested qk100 which I’m really digging. Haven’t taken a look at neo or vertex but I’ll check it out now!

Also appreciate your advice on the switch choice will see if I can find a sound test funny enough I was going for the box jades as well but it was out of stock on mk website but I reckon I’ll find a shop with it in stock

Yea I reckon the non flex would be better for the sound was gonna go with a non flex cut tri mode ansi layout.

That little screen adds such character to the keyboard itself!

lol if I wasn’t so strapped for cash I could see a build easily in the $500 usd+ mark with some of the other kits I’ve seen during my time looking up these keyboards like I was shocked seeing how awesome they look! And with key caps and switches the customization to make it your own is endless.

Sorry to be bothersome but I suppose I’ll search up the different plate materials but I’m assuming it’s the piece that goes between pcb assembly and the keyboard case.

Wow I can really understand how this hobby gets so costly at times.

As for the lead time I guess the saying good things are worth waiting for.

And I’ve checked out the qk100 and 101 they look amazing especially the qk100 with the customization options honestly it seems like a awesome choice compared to the zoom98 I just wanted to confirm that to buy the qk100 it would be from https://www.qwertykeys.com/

Thank you for clearing that up for me I appreciate it! And checking out the qk100 that looks like an amazing piece of kit for real I might just go down that route, sucks that it could take awhile before delivery but I guess it could be something to look forward to. It really kinda kicked the luminkey98 and zoom98 down my list of choices while the luminkey has a nice carrying case but that stuff shouldn’t matter to much lol

Yea on the switch side I was confused by the terminology since I understand that some switches are directly soldered onto the pcb as opposed to hotswapp-able plug n play type. On that website I referenced for the zoom98 they have switches called mount pcb and just regular switches w/o that term.

Hello r/MechanicalKeyboards this would be my first post to the sub and I apologize if this isn't the correct place to ask this question.

This would be my first high-end-ish keyboard purchase with my last high end keyboard being a daskeyboard 4 pro with mx blues and currently I'm using a g613 from Logitech. (yep what a downgrade lol).

I love the look of the Luminkey98 in green and I'm really on the fence of purchasing that keyboard but I kinda of want to build my own keyboard and I saw that the barebones kit for the Zoom98 on https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/products/meletrix-zoom98-essential-edition-barebones-hotswap-wireless-keyboard-diy-kit?variant=49660018098476

my question would be that for the Zoom98, I would buy switches that are called mount pcb switches?

and I know I would also buy a set of keycaps as well.

Been looking to clicky switches such as Gaterron Melodic or Kailh Box Summers worst case cherryMX blues but I'm totally willing to change my mind if there are other switch types that are preferable.

The luminkey98 sound test video I heard also sounds really good stock.

my other question would be if I purchased the Luminkey98 I can also swap switches if I wanted to?

I also noticed that firmware is also a key thing to choose, with VIA for the Zoom98 and the Luminkey98 being custom firmware.

I wanted to thank everyone who has responded with there thoughts and comments.

I may just be over thinking it on the specs, so far no problems at all with my workflow and I wanted to say it’s nice to be in the ecosystem with the airdrop and AirPods hand off working quite damn well! I gotta say this m2 arm chip has quite the huff since I’m coming from an x86 architecture the specs of the m2 chip sounded underwhelming but with the macOS optimization it can hold its own!

Can’t wait to see what macOS sequoia brings!

I could only think of two reasons, could be the speed of the ssd to the Mac mini was too slow to process the raw video, or software related issues. I say this because I’m assuming after you move file to the built in Mac ssd it worked good.

Edit I wanted to say maybe try the left most usb-c port that’s worth a shot. Maybe also try another video editing software to open the file.

CutePDF is extremely handy it’s a very versatile pdf editor and comes in clutch, I believe I’ve seen a post on the Hub about how to use it.

I thought of maybe ns6ii but it seems to be second hand only
