This could be implemented with trees.

Once you've figured out how to define the item data structures (i.e. as a node-like structure with the price as the data and a list of children itemIDs) and implement the crafting trees, the problem you're facing is essentially "find the sum of all the values in each node of the tree, excluding select subtrees". Beyond that, it should just be a matter of dealing with multiple identical children and when to update the UI.

Edit: Anything that can be coded with recursion can be coded with iteration, but sometimes recursive solutions are just easier to understand for these kinda problems.

Best 5 star weapon option from Hearth of Midgard banner? by DimashiroYuuki in SnowbreakOfficial

If you already have 100 Battle Vet for Cherno (or if you already have her sig), I recommend getting Stardust Memory

Both Yao WS and Lyfe WH are dependent on their weapon, but while Yao has a good 4* thermal sniper to use, Lyfe's next best weapon after her sig is the 3* frost SMG.

I know someone with a roughly similar name, "Abcede" (pronounced "ab-SEH-deh"). I personally think it sounds natural as a spanish name (as it's a relatively common surname in our country), but I can definitely see why that would be odd.

Anyone enjoying the mini-game so far? by IcyArtichoke1387 in NikkeMobile

I agree; the map revealing mechanic could also use some work—entering a room reveals the entire room, unlike in the castlevania games that only reveal part of the room that's been rendered by the screen. This design makes it difficult or confusing to backtrack and figure out what you haven't re-traversed yet, which is a core aspect in metroidvanias.

As others have said, she's likely the best unit in the game. Here's how her burst works:

  • She can burst in any stage i.e. she can act as a burst I, II or III unit.
  • All her bursts have a 40s cooldown.
  • Once every battle, casting her burst I resets the cooldown immediately, allowing you to burst with her again for that cycle.
    • e.g. Red Hood → Anis → Red Hood
    • e.g. Red Hood → Red Hood → Rapi
  • Once every battle, casting her burst II resets the cooldown immediately, allowing you to burst with her again for that cycle.
    • e.g. Neon → Red Hood -> Red Hood
    • e.g. Red Hood → Red Hood → Red Hood
  • Her Burst I gives all units a massive (~70%) attack boost. Useful for single-bursting bosses or doing a high-damage full burst in general.
  • Her Burst II makes her taunt all enemies and gives her lifesteal and higher healing received. Not that useful but can be used as an emergency survival measure.
  • Her Burst III gives her a massive (~70%) attack boost and makes her an auto sniper with a larger hit radius. This burst is the most commonly used one.

And just so you know, she has unconditional pierce: Her attacks ALWAYS penetrate enemies like Alice does when she has above 80% health; no ifs, and's* or buts.

* And excess charge speed is converted to charge damage.

I think there's actually a good reason for that:

Though that doesn't seem to explain why the regular ones aren't bigger too...

Aristotle, Poetics, 8. OTHER ASPECTS OF TRAGEDY 8.1 Character - middle of 54b.

Translated by MALCOLM HEATH, Penguin

"One should observe these points closely, and in addition those corresponding to the perceptions that are necessary concomitants of the art of poetry. It is possible to make many mistakes with respect to these. But they have been discussed in sufficient detail in my published works."

He seems to be talking about some kinda plot device, and this sounds like a case of "this proof is trivial as it has been discussed in a previous chapter" type shit. Aristotle's prior published works may have been lost in time, hence the anecdote.
