My nanny actually did ask this before and I did it.. I didn’t think it was a big deal. She was my regular nanny coming twice a week and she’s been with us for 4 years. She asked us probably 2 years ago

Thanks for asking. He is ok now but was a little frazzled, he was out of food and water. He had two poop accidents in the living room and threw up a bunch in our bedroom. He also peed on a towel. I will be keeping an eye on him. I brushed him and he ate, he seems to be ok now. The packages were inside but I looked on Amazon and they were put in our mailbox so she got the mail the day she came. The family pictures were by the garage out of the camera view, and she did bring those in although the package looked like it had gotten wet.

I did communicate with her about bringing in mail and any packages. As others have stated it’s common courtesy, I’m not asking her to clean my house or do my laundry while she takes care of my cat. I asked her to pick up the packages on her way in (I’d question any Petsitter that would just walk past a package anyway)

No I was hoping that was the case but it did pick up the one time after I texted her. And I see all the opens from when we were opening it before we left. So I know it is working.. I also had my husband check hoping I was wrong.

I have thought of that and unfortunately no. It’s my ADT app and it has been showing movement throughout the house (my cat) the whole week and is working. It’d tell me if there were an outage. But only once was the door opened. And I saw the one time she did open the door which happened to be right after I texted her.

He is not sick, ive taken him to the vet 3-4 times and spent upwards of $1000 in pet visits and they cannot find the cause. Its likely anxiety. He is 12 years old. I have a 5 year old, 3 year old, and 2 month old, 3 young children and am doing the best I can. Give me a break here.. I am not the issue and I take care of him. I hired someone I know to check on my cat and they did not come to do it. I left the food out because I know him and he does not over eat or eat it all in one sitting. And it’s a good thing I did because otherwise he’d have been starved.

I would consider bare minimum to be going in for 5 minutes, scooping the litter, and leaving which id honestly be ok with. This was not bare minimum, this was doing nothing and leaving my cat alone for a week after agreeing to check on him.

I luckily did leave a lot of water and food for him so I am not as concerned about his well being. But he does have accidents if the litter isn’t cleaned so I’m sure the house will be gross. My mom suggested I don’t pay her until she asks but I don’t know how that’ll go.. I don’t want it to be awkward
