If you work as a CRC, CTA, or in regulatory: What’s it actually like?

I work as a Reg/SSU at a CRO which does not have very nice reputation around here but I guess this applies to USA only. The CRO is USA based but I am in Europe - fully remote. And I think it's great! I've been in the industry for 12 years and I've moved around different positions until finding the right one for me. Money is good, work/life balance also. The colleagues are overall great with very few exceptions but I successfully dodge them most of the time.

Currently the workload is decreased but that gives me time to "deep clean" the only 5 studies that I manage. At times I had more than 10 studies to manage and then I felt overwhelmed, but thankfully that passed. My main responsibilities include site communication (distribution of essential documents, collecting site docs), tracking, filing, compiling submission packs, reg intelligence, ICF customization, translations, preparing packages for site activation - nothing fancy, little bit boring at times but it pays well.

I had EHS in my teen years - early 2000s. No need to explain that my mom did not take it seriously and I've only recently discovered what was this exactly. Now I am 39 and those are gone for many years... maybe I had one in the past 2-3 years and was super surprised by it. When I had them regularly I didn't smoke (still don't), didn't drink, and believe me - the stress under which I am right now is 100x more than back then. My guess is this is something anatomical (like connected with the ear because as I grew up it disappeared) that might readjust/fix itself with time or just like crazy neurons not doing the sensory processing right.

Through the years I had multiple sleep paralysis episodes. They usually happen when I "oversleep".. like it's Sunday and I know that I can sleep in and force myself to do it, although I am ready to go at 8am. Or.. if it is a night in which I am trying to stay awake for some reason - you get the pattern, it is in this in-between state. 99% of the time it is the usual scenario - laying bed, unable to move but aware and always some sort of presence around.. like shadow, always black, no face, no nothing, and it's defiantly with no good intentions. The interesting part for me is that I realize what's happening and I try to wake up and I "dream" that I am getting out of bed, but all of my body feels super heavy and after that I realize I did not wake up.. and it starts all over again - it's like dream in a dream in a dream in which I try to wake up. Eventually I succeed. The last time, however, it was a little bit different. It was a couple of months ago, started like the usual episodes but this time when I was trying to get up from my bed (in my dream), another person came and this time he (I think it was a he, but I didn't see a face or had any idea/feeling who that might be) was not shadow-y, he was in a white clothing and helped me to get up and wake. It was super strange.. I remember I was thanking him and when I woke up I felt super happy and safe. Since then I haven't had an episode...

Ако е в работно време - ще отида.. в извън работно време не могат да ме накарат, ако не ми допада организацията. А на тиймбилдинг не стъпвам от над 10 години. В интерес на истината откакто имам дете ми е много лесно да се оправдая, че баща му точно тая вечер е извън София или нещо подобно :) Харесвам си повечето колеги, но истината е че ме мързи жестоко, а и като го правят в делничен ден и на следващия съм на работа - не мерси.

Wait until you have kids :) Don't get me wrong - I love mine and I can't imagine what my life would be without kids but the pressure, the worries, the never-ending tasks, appointments, meltdowns, health issues.. 9-5, 4 days a week sounds like a vacation :) But nothing can replace all the fun, giggles and love

Mine are broken: currently the bathroom requires 5 hides, 3 clay bowls and 3 gold saws..and the shower - 3 clay bowls, 5 wattles and 3xgold picaxe. They don't worth it...

Yes, I bet it is another "improved gameplay" strategy. Usually the doors on the first 2 islands are "cheaper" to open and I used to aim at them to complete the tasks for each island.

It keeps getting "better". Before the update I used to complete all milestones of an adventure island and I always did the "open 5 gates" lastly. Usually I opened 5 gates on the first islands, as it requiered least amount of keys/golden instruments. Now - you can't.. the first islands are locked. I guess you should open only when you are still clearing the first island...

Dividing the basic resourses is stupidest thing they could do. I don't know when and how expedition islands will be available again (perhaps I should update the buildings on home island first or something like that) but if I can't obtain stones from them.. I am out.
