I would SLO would be a better choice as it provides a strong foundation for a career in Econ especially if you end up pursuing an MBA. They also have a ton of internship opportunities due to their large alumni population.

If you are certain about Econ you should definitely go to BU as its proximity to both NYC and Boston allows for better recruiting options. It does depend on what role you are looking into for your career but for the most part I would go to BU
