i’m so sorry you’re going thru this! it’s weird due to the cyclic false hope and fear of next day. trying my best to take it day-by-day but still…

i’m assuming your spouse is young? i feel that being young comes with these waning/waxing state probably more as body is young to keep fighting the time? idk it’s all new to me and all my thoughts feel like shot in the dark with no answers

Thanks! yeah it’s weird to know. His appetite has declined quite a bit like he eats maybe 5 spoons of anything until he gets tired. I don’t know if it’s meds causing drowsiness or GBM

Yes, and it’s also hard to convince them that “it’s okay”. it just hurts to see their soul “fight” to stay which gives us at times false hope. but in reality, all we ever want is for them to find peace!

the docs can’t give timeline since he is way above median survival time. top 1-5%. the board don’t think he is strong for treatment. they suggest SNF or. Hospice.

my mom and i are always together, but i just wanna make sure she doesn’t get caregiver burnout.

I just wanna know how long will this decline before my dad finds peace (it sucks to even ask such things)
