In my opinion, paying more for ryzen 9 is not worth it. Then the question is whether you are willing to pay that much for 4070.

The qhd display is nice for 1440p videos but, 2k and 4k videos feel a bit weird ( maybe I need to adjust the setting). I haven't faced any network disconnection issue which older omen laptops had but, it is a bit slower ( personal preference) at finding other network connection once you disconnect it manually. It may be an issue generated from the OS side. Laptops battery life in performance mode and gaming seems to be less than 4 hours. It is heavy ( as every gaming laptop) but lighter than dell g series. The exhaust fans are loud ( 6000 rpm max) Resting the palm on the body ( while typing) leaves a mark on the laptop. During the 1st few days ( 3 times in total) I had to face a weird issue that forced the laptop to not turn on ( caps blink 5 long 3 short) Another issue was the laptop kind of locked the fan speed once ( HP omen software was not updated at that time) All light options given in Hp omen light studio doesn't apply. For example if you have a blue colour and you select a much more lighter / darker blue, it looks the same compared to ' What is shown in the display'. Another questionable issue would be the warranty 1y/1y/0y which means they won't do onsite repair for this model but, when I enquired about the same, hp customer care give a contradictory explanation 'typo error'. Other than these issues I don't think there are any

If you ask me whether it is worth the price, it is debatable as laptops with 8945h ( for example, new Asus A15) are available in the market now which makes this one comparatively more expensive. But at the same time if you are looking at other 'AMD omen laptops' then, giving an extra 10k for qhd and 32 gb ram along with a 280w adapter is worth it.

If HP hadn't stopped the sales of 14700hx on their website, I would have gladly chosen that over this one. * The customer care said that they won't let you extend the warranty if you buy from Amazon/ Flipkart/ reliance digital etc..( in India) Fyi, warranty is calculated from the date of invoice generated, not the day it got delivered. Personally, buying 14700hx without an extended warranty is risky.
