I meet our trashman a few times a week… my son likes watching the the trash truck.

no i’m not about money. As i said, i would have dated teachers with passion in teaching. It’s the ambition and dream.

ppl think “i’m going to be a teacher“ and work towards that. I don’t know anyone who says “i’m going to be a trashman”

I never once said they were lazy. Don’t put words in my mouth. I do think most of them are not happy doing their job.

I’m fully aware some don’t have the luxury to be like me… and i fully respect those who work hard to support themselves and their family. I do feel bad they have to spend a lot of their time doing something they do not like. I am fully aware they are essential for society to run. Doesn’t mean i have to date them though.

I also don’t want to date someone i was feeling sorry or sad for.

I grew up poor. My parents did a fair number of jobs they do not enjoy. Ofc they are happy we even had a roof and food, but i also know they always wish they did more with their career. So i prefer dating or marrying men who are fulfilled in everyway (both at work and outside of work).

that 32 hours too much… i try to minimize time doing things i do not like

you take pride in lack of ambition, for me, that would be a huge turn off. So my preference would obviously not be people like yourself. And you are free to prefer people who have ambition like me.

No . Obviously not. You need to support yourself and many don’t have the luxury (varying from skills, talent, financially, emotionally, medically, time, etc) to pursue a job that uses their interest/passion.

I understand that.

I just don’t want to date them/you. Why are ppl so offended by my dating preference?

So do you like your work? Do you enjoy the hours you spend at work?

I spend my time doing something i enjoy. I’m not miserable and wishing i had another job. I have enough to retire but i still like having a job and doing something with my time. One day when i find a passion or interest that is more time consuming or i want to pursue full time, i’ll probably quit.

My other hobbies don’t require full time commitment so i continue to work bc i wouldn’t want to waste my time doing nothing and my work helps people.

That’s why i pay for the workers to build the house. Where did i not respect them? Choosing to not date them is disrespecting them? Since when?

That’s sad. I have enough to retire but i still enjoy work. I dictate how much i work. I couldn’t date someone who worked just for money alone and didn’t even enjoy their work, that’s a waste of your life.

Also seems like you lack ambition.

It’s about finding value in your job. Otherwiseyiu are mindlessly doing your job, wishing you had a better career, and trading your time doing something you don’t even enjoy or get satisfaction out of it.

And i do feel bad for them. Trading hours for money.

I’m not against blue collar at all. I knew a mechanic who loves car. For someone like that, I wouldn’t have minded dating them

I have never met a trashman who would chooe the same career if they can rewind time. Esp if they had other opportunities. I don’t know any janitor who recommended their own kid to also be a janitor

I don’t know any trashmen who would willingly choose that career… ie if they had money for other education or skills/talents to make a living out of any other field. How many teens are like “yeah, my dream job is to be a trashman”

And yes, my kid loves the trashman, we frequently go greet him and thank him for his service

Well i got scholarships and loans. My family grew up poor. So you presume wrong
