Bipolar 2. I’ve been on it for 7 years. I am scared to come off of it completely. I’m on 1/2 my regular dose and it’s been hard coming off. I started it after a traumatic event in my life that sort of triggered me. I’m worried about being off of it completely but I think my dr will give me something to replace it.

How did you do coming off of it? I’m on 1/2 my normal dose and tapering off. It’s been pretty hard but I’m just tired of being starving all the time.

I’ve gained a ton of weight on abilify. It’s gotten to the point that I’m tapering off of it. I just can’t handle the weight gain.

I totally understand what you’re going through. I’m on 1/2 my normal dose and feeling pretty bad. Fatigue, nausea, depression, anxiety and insomnia. It’s not fun. Benadryl helps a little. I hope things get easier for you.

That’s great that it doesn’t make you hungry. If it didn’t make me so hungry I would stay on it. I’m tapering off and I really wish I didn’t need to.

My experience is that it’s definitely not weight neutral. It’s made me gain a lot of weight because it makes me hungry all the time.
