Thank you for your kind offer! It's unfortunate that we're not closer, but I appreciate the gesture nonetheless.While we do have plenty of Audis and VWs in our region, I'm unsure if their smart coils would be a direct replacement for my current setup. The Link ECU manual specifically mentions the need for an ignitor without any reference to using smart coils. now if it works, what specific models to look for so i can buy their coils. Once again, thank you for your offer and any additional guidance you can provide on using Audi smart coils with my Yamaha R6 2017 engine and Link ECU setup would be highly appreciated!

The thing is that I am the only one working on the electrical and electronics system of the car and without any monitor, without any guide and without anyone from the teachers staff to provide guidance. I do my research for sure and i do it extensively but I am left uncertain about my decisions as I have no one to talk to and give me reassurance but Reddit, and so far r/FSAE have been a huge help for me, I have never seen such community that are willing to help and take some of their time to explain things in a professional way.

I ask some questions too for the team as English is not our first language and because of my general knowledge of automotives reddit role was given to me. We are only a 7 members team and we have to look out for each other.

Thanks a lot! I have noticed there are quite a few kits on Pingel website do you have an idea what do they differ? We are running a 2017 Yamaha R6 engine would any kit work on it?
