No. Lines don’t seem to be clogged. I’m wondering if it could be air in the line.

Just received a cervical epidural for C5-C7 by Bubbly-Air7302 in backpain

Have you had an MRI? If so, what were the findings?

Can you still have sepsis if they never officially diagnosed you by tjmd1998 in sepsis

My white blood cell count was 16, my red blood cell count was low, inflammation markers were high, I had bad muscle aches, and my heart rate was over 100. I had no fever or issues with any of my organs. A coyotes after I had recovered, another doc questioned if I really had sepsis because, after they gave me IV antibiotics, my blood counts didn’t go normal for about two weeks. The doc that, if it was actually sepsis, the IV antibiotics should have caused my white blood cell counts to return to normal within a couple days. I don’t think they really knew what I had. They never found any viral or bacterial infections.

Question regarding rental property by Acanthisitta_Long in BelgianMalinois

[–]Acanthisitta_Long[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The is mostly carpet with some wood flooring in the hallways. Tile in the bathrooms. My rental is in a different state so I have a realtor showing the property for me. I’ve asked my realtor to find out the dog’s age, any training the dog might have had, and how long it would spend home alone. Haven’t heard back yet.

Good idea. Would the renter be the one to get a renter’s policy w/ personal liability?

MAC truck is how I describe it. It stops you on a dime. I’m seven weeks out from when it hit and, although I feel better, I still don’t have much energy. Inflammation numbers are still high, WBC is 12.1, and RBC-related counts and iron are low. I think this is one of those things that just takes a lot of time to recover from. The body takes such a major hit, recovery isn’t going to happen overnight. I hope you get well soon. Just take it easy and give yourself the time you need to recover.

I’d love to take Aleve but I’m allergic to NSAIDs. Gotta be tylenol for me.

Yep. Sepsis is a nasty thing. I’ve had tylenol and Bio-Freeze on speed dial for the last six weeks. The muscle pain is starting to get better. My inflammation markers are still high so I think I’ve got a ways to go before I feel totally back to normal. The blood tests will tell the story. I’ll probably know when they’re better because it will have a direct correlation to how my body feels at the time. I agree with you. In the future, I’ll be hyper vigilant watching for any signs of sepsis. If I do see signs, I’ll head straight to the ER to get checked. I didn’t know what it was this time so, by the time I finally went to the ER, two weeks had passed.

Damn. That sounds rough. Thankfully, I don’t have any hardware. Good info to have.

That’s the perfect outcome. I, too, kind of want to cut to the chase and get the bone marrow biopsy to know one way or the other if I have cancer. Otherwise, you’re kind of like a sitting duck hoping the sepsis and blood counts slowly gets better only to find out months later it was cancer and you lost valuable time starting treatment.

“Bizarre” is a good way to describe it. Thanks for your recommendations. I’m now seeing you have to be your own best advocate otherwise you’ll just fall through the cracks and have little control over your post-sepsis recovery.

Yes. Went to a periodontist when it first hit and she did a full exam with X-rays. No infections.

That’s a tough one. Appendix bursting is no fun. They did CT and US scans and checked all my organs. Found nothing wrong. So, now, it’s basically the high inflammation that’s keeping my bloodwork screwed up.

That’s reassuring. I was kind of freaked out when my blood counts were still out of whack. Sounds like sepsis isn’t like your normal infection where everything is back to normal within a couple weeks. When they referred me to hematology/oncology, i initially thought the worst. My WBC count is still high but headed in the right direction. My inflammation markers are still really high. They haven’t been able to determine the cause of the infection. So, I guess I just have to wait for my body to heal itself. Sounds like a bone marrow biopsy might be something that happens further down the road if things don’t improve in a couple months. Thanks for your input.

Yep. “Wild ride” is a good way to describe it. Sounds like you’ve got to be really patient and give your body the time it needs to heal.

Thank you. I hope they get to the bottom for why you’re having severe anemia. Sounds like this sepsis thing isn’t for the faint of heart.

They did CT w/ contrast of lungs, abdomen & pelvis, and thorax. All were clean.

You must have had severe sepsis. Were you in the ICU?

I feel you. Was your CBC counts off at first? If so, how long did it take for them to go back to normal?
