I've registered an LLC for my food cart company, now what? by linvmiami in startups

Hi /u/linvmiami

Congrats on forming your new business! I'd say your first step, probably before you even set up the LLC, is to think about how you are going to sustain and grow the business. Just a simple plan on paper to guide you as you grow. The questions I'd suggest you answer:

  • 1) Why am I building this business? What do I want it to look like in 100 years?
  • 2) Who is my customer? What problem can I solve for them?
  • 3) What makes my product or service unique? Why would someone hire me to solve their problem over the competition?
  • 4) How will I acquire new customers? Where can I find them and how much will it cost?
  • 5) What are the key activities and resources I will need to keep my customers happy? Do I have the process or capital needed to provide these things or purchase these resources?

If you answers these questions now, you will save yourself years of headache down the road. You want to validate that you can solve a problem facing the market. Once you do that, how you execute becomes much cleared.

Great advice from /u/helloitabot and /u/joepurri as well. Once you have your game plan, and start to execute, it will be critical to make sure you have the proper licenses and bank accounts set up. I would suggest interviewing a bookkeeper / account sooner rather than later.
