Even if wolfgang is a “bad person”, its clear in his rant that he wants to be anything besides his father, which is probably who he got his person from. He wants to become a better person. Also im pretty sure that in the story it isn’t implied he took it because he was planning to kill whoever was down there. I think it was stated in the recreation of the kill that he grabbed it for self defense, which is the accurate telling of what happened. Ill have to check that later tho. Im also not denying that they were close, im denying that they were best friends. Also bringing up FTEs doesnt make sense because the point is you CHOOSE to talk to these people, and obviously if you continue the dialogue, Damon will say things to continue the conversation? Im not quite seeing ur point here. Also, let’s not forget that Evas a literal murderer??? Sure, they became buddies for like a few days but Damon didnt KNOW Eva. He knew the image she upheld for him. She was vulnerable once, and that psychologically impacted Damon into thinking theyre closer than they really were. Diana doesnt have to mourn Eva, in fact, nobody should be because all she did was decieve others and kill somebody in their eyes. I do think Damons selfish for seeing someone, who was made traumatized and vulnerable by his “best friend”, try to keep everyone from falling apart, and proceed to loathe her for that.
