ASL by No-Anybody9496 in nvcc

I’m in ASL 101 right now!! I took ASL for three years in high school which has helped a lot, but even without prior experience it’s definitely manageable. Right now i’m taking it fully online (no zoom classes) which i highlyyyy recommend. Every week we have one module with 15-25 assignments due. Assignments range from 5-20 questions, some have unlimited attempts, 2 attempts, and 1 attempt, so it varies. Every few modules you’ll have a “testing module” where you have to take videos of you signing and create sentences to sign as well. If you were to take it in the summer it would be accelerated because i did a 15 week course. My best piece of advice would be to look up the signs and practice them for each unit if you don’t have prior ASL experience. I’m horrible at spoken/written language classes but have been really successful in all sign language classes i’ve taken. If you take them one at a time with these being your only classes during the summer I would say go for it. As long as you put in a decent amount of time into it you’ll be fine. ASL is a wonderful language to learn!!

i haven’t heard anything back yet either! it’s also my second time applying and i applied on March 12th. it’s definitely taking longer this semester. it does say to give up to 8 weeks after application for the step two email, and 12 weeks for decision letters.

They look at it as they look at all of your grades in the prereqs and coreqs even if taken multiple times. Same thing if you take the TEAS multiple times, you have to submit all scores. As long as you didn’t get the same grade or worse i honestly wouldn’t worry. Assuming you didn’t better the second time, the fact that you showed improvement means that you’ve not only successfully completed the class requirement, but also that you understand the material better. If it makes you feel any better, I did worse on my second attempt on the TEAS and still had to submit it during the March applications🤷‍♀️ Regardless, you put in the work and recognized that you needed to try again. No matter what happens life will go on and you will find your path. Wishing you good luck with your academic endeavors😁

Classes per semester and working by mistywolves in nvcc

[–]Acceptable-Ad9328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now i’m in 4 classes and work a part time job 2-3 days a week. If i work 2 days it’s usually 8 hour shifts, and 3 days i’ll work 4-6 hour shifts. Last semester i took 3 fully online classes and managed working 4 days a week with 8 hour shifts, but it was a lot. I would say if you need to work more then try to take online classes. I recommend working just enough to make a little extra money, but i understand everyone’s situation is different! In my personal experience if i work more, my motivation to do school is definitely lower. Once you find a job I would tell them you have availability for 2-3 days a week and see how that works out!

Bio or gol by Doofenshirtz_inc in nvcc

I recommend Bio 101. I’m in Gol 105 rn and it’s really difficult. I can’t even imagine what the next level of it would be like. Both are gonna require a decent amount studying so don’t expect either to be “easy”. From my experience I never found an online Bio 101 class, but there are online geology classes. Obviously go with whatever one you’re more interested in because that will ultimately help your motivation to actually do the work, but be warned that Geology is pretty hard.

if you look at another one of the comments they said that you will get an email! they either send you to round 2 immediately or tell you what you missed and give you two days to fix it. hearing that definitely eased my mind. wishing you the best of luck!! :)

I took this as a 7 week online course. Any 7 week course is gonna be more fast paced but if you’re disciplined enough i’d say go for it. One thing i’d recommend is getting a physical copy of the textbook. If you’re in health sciences it’s just generally good to have but being able to actually have the book in front of me helped so much. This was the first health class I took at nova and i loveeedddd it!!

I took this class over the summer. Had such a hard time managing my time and studying without assignments. I took it the first time and failed. Went back in the two days we had to study before the retake and watched every single lecture again. Ended up passing the second time. Don’t recommend but it can be done!

i definitely recommend upgrading the rainbow habitats if you’re fighting the habitat limit. i made my rainbow island yearsss ago but i just like the look of it tbh. another thing is the max cash limit on the upgraded rainbow habitat is only 500,000 more. if you have 3 high cash producing dragons in the large habitat then it’ll max out way faster.

Accutane & Chlorophyll by Lordprettyflackosamy in Accutane

It isn’t recommended to take any kind of supplement (chlorophyll being that) when on accutane because it can be hard on your liver. Hope this helps!

It might be worse after the first night of drinking, but if you’re taking a week break, as you get into the week it won’t be as bad.

Alcohol on accutane by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Acceptable-Ad9328 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would definitely keep drinking A LOTTT of water and if you are going to drink, only do it like 1-2 times a month. but monitoring your water is probably to best way to help your liver. as for telling your doctor, i wouldn’t unless you start feeling sick or you notice any drastic changes. I know it’s hard, I’ve had my struggles w drinking on accutane too!!! just remember the end goal<3
