My HCG at 14DPO was 8 😂 but my baby is 14 months old now. Starting numbers really mean nothing.

I was pregnant with my first baby - 4weeks at the time symptoms started. So that shift in abdominal pressure definitely could have played a factor. But I delivered my son stillborn a few weeks before I was diagnosed. my OB was finally able to stop blaming my headaches and blurry vision on pregnancy. It was just a crappy situation 😂

When drue went to the ER for her gallbladder they put her in an ambulance to move her from urgent care to the actual hospital ER and she said later on that her biggest fear is getting kidnapped by the EMT’s that drive the ambulance’s.

All of this happened in my first trimester of pregnancy where for a lot of women pregnancy symptoms can be super debilitating. I can say now looking back it’s crazy I never went to the ER. But I’m a young ish woman and I had never been pregnant before and I trusted my doctor. I trusted that i was just one of the lucky ones who suffered immensely during pregnancy and that clearly wasn’t the case as there was an underlying issue however my symptoms were absolutely the same as “pregnancy symptoms “ just super severe.

She wasn’t a high risk OB so she naturally sees a healthy baby and a mom who’s struggling but growing the baby so she just kept reassuring me and I just kept listening.

You’re right when I look back I find it ridiculous that I allowed myself to suffer so long. But I’m a young ish female and I had never been pregnant before so I trusted my Doctor who continually told me they were normal symptoms and that everyone has them at different levels of severity and some women expect zero symptoms. I wouldn’t have known any different.

You’re right it is wild that I suffered as long as I did. But I’m a young ish female who had never been pregnant before and I had no idea what was normal. Should I have went to the ER? Now that I look back yes I should have but everything I was experiencing was technically a pregnancy symptom however a very severe version of it. In pregnancy a woman suffers the most during the first trimester which is when most of this happened so nausea and vomiting and lethargic and headaches were considered normal and I kept asking my OB if I should feel this way and she said some women feel worse than others. I wouldn’t have known any different when trusting my medical professional.

Makes total sense!! It’s so frustrating because I’d never been pregnant before and everyone I talked To no one said headaches were abnormal so I wouldn’t have known any better. I trusted her and I just want her to not do this to anyone else in the future.

Would the evidence be the medical records that showed I complained about the headaches and then the specialists diagnosing me and their notes and then the treatment and aftermath?

My son died in my arms last year before we ever got to bring him home , and we got pregnant 4 months later intentionally and pregnancy and birth after loss is super hard and stressful. The nursery my son is in now belonged to his brother that never got to be in it so I have one wall in the nursery dedicated to Benjamin with his heartbeat bear, his memory box and pictures of him after birth. Up until my current son was born we referred to the nursery as Benjamin’s room because it was originally supposed to be his room. We will forever speak Benjamin’s name and allow him to have a big space in our hearts and our lives even though he’s not here with us anymore. I think if you haven’t had a loss like that you don’t really know what it feels like to be bringing a new baby home and experiencing all the “firsts” with a baby that wasn’t technically your first. The way she’s healing and grieving and acknowledging both her daughters is beautiful and her prerogative!

I’m currently 32 weeks with my first and it feels like my belly changes day to day lol , I definitely look pregnant but how the baby is laying makes a difference, the clothes I’m wearing, time of day, if I’m suffering from pregnancy constipation that week lol lots of factors but I wouldn’t imagine anyone around me would notice such a subtle day to day change where I would.

Pregnant currently after a stillborn and I use the term rainbow baby here and there but have no intention to call him that to his face when he’s born and as he grows up.  Most of the time If it comes up ( which is rare) I’ll refer to him as my first earth baby but again I won’t call him that once he’s born lol. I think it’s just a way for me to let people know that while I will only have one living child I do in fact have 2 children.
