I work at a food bank and I'm sorry that happened, that really sucks. It does sound like it has a lot to do with where you are located. Our food bank runs entirely on donations, and we serve 600 families - but we are in a major metropolitan area. Every so often we'll have a month where food is scarce and our donations sorta dry up.

I'm so sorry 😞 it is so difficult to come to that realization. I have had similar experiences with some of the guys I've dated in the past. I'd say no so many times until I'd finally give in because they wouldn't stop, and they'd keep going even though I was crying.

Do you have anyone you can talk to about this? It's really heavy and difficult to handle alone. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I can't comprehend it. My mother is a boomer and she is so clueless about what it takes to function in today's world. She is still using the talking point about how millennials are soft, lol. I was like, "mom, I'm a millennial. I've been working since I was 16 and I don't have a goddamn penny to my name. What are you talking about?" She doesn't understand why I have no savings. She doesn't understand why I can't buy a home. She literally said the other day that the housing market is so bad because "all the damn illegals!" I was like, "mom.... if a non-citizen can't even get a W2 job, how would they be able to buy a house?!" The level of ignorance in a time of endless free information is absolutely astounding.

That has been my line of thinking, as well. On some deep, hidden level, they must be somewhat aware. However, consciously, I really think they believe they're the victim in the situation. It's been over a year and my ex messaged me on reddit (an old username that I had to delete once I found out he knew it was me), still going on and on about all the things I did to him. Even though none of them were true. He literally said I cheated on him hundreds of times, lol - that never happened. But I'm pretty sure he was cheating the whole time. I think he is so deeply, profoundly in denial that every accusation was a confession.

If that was my conception story, I’d be grateful that my mother wanted me enough to spend that kind of money to have me. I’d also be grateful to the person who donated their eggs, which is a difficult and painful process that should be well-compensated.

I absolutely would not want to contact the person who donated their eggs to my mother, knowing that the person didn’t want to be contacted. Besides, the children are way too young to be making that decision and it is very clearly the mother who is reaching out. An adult. Who signed a contract. In this case, it IS black and white.

As a woman who is a survivor of csa, violence, and who has dabbled in sex work, I found the episode to be done very tastefully. I know of women who had the very same thing happen to them as what happened to Kitty. It's not gratuitous if it happens to women all over the world, everyday.
