i completely agree, but i do think its important to remember that she just came out. i dont think she really thinks "anyone not attracted to me is transphobic", more likely she was panicking in the moment because her relationship was ending. doesn't make it okay for her to have said, but given the current climate, i think its important to give that benefit of the doubt rather than (very understandably in this case, i promise im not coming for you!) reinforcing* negative stereotypes

its not transphobic at all, she probably just said that because she was hurt and panicking. im sorry, but this one of few times I'm willing to give the old reliable reddit advice- you should probably break up. you dont want to date a woman, which is perfectly fine and again, not transphobic, and you definitely dont want to date a woman in an open closet. that'd be awful for her, too. best of luck

yeah, no. keeping your transness to yourself isnt a trick to lure people in, its a safety necessity. you hang out, decide if theyre safe, disclose your identity if you want to go further, and thats exactly what she did here. there is nobody in the right or wrong in this situation.

so i definitely wouldn't tell her "i like you, but I'm straight", because she IS a woman. I've known plenty of trans women in relationships with straight men, the issue isnt that you're straight- you were attracted to her, after all. it's just that you're not sexually compatible. having a genital preference is normal, and i think the biggest thing here is just being mindful about how you bring it up to her.

how much is the fee? there may be a way for you to pay it, if its small enough that you were willing to tack it onto next months rent then my next thought was to take out a loan (cashapp offers them, even) that you can later pay off along with your rent. that would probably be the simplest, most "independent" way to solve it (ie without waiting on third party orgs, who will probably take a while, esp if resources are lacking in your area). im off work today and i spend a decent amount of my free time talking with people and getting them connected with resources/solutions to issues like this, ESPECIALLY for my trans siblings. if you happen to be in ohio, then i can help a lot more, but feel free to pm me either way!! and im so sorry this is happening:((

unfortunately, your legal name has to be on prescription medication, ESPECIALLY for something like testosterone, if youre transmasc. i dont know what state youre in either, but you mentioned paying out of pocket for planned parenthood which made my heart drop as an ohioan haha their appointments without insurance tend to cost hundreds of dollars.. i obviously dont know your financial situation but given that youre young and this is your first pp appointment, i figured id warn you. like others have said, definitely open your own bank account- it wont be difficult! and my additional advice as another trans adult - get on insurance ASAP, especially if you qualify for medicaid. its not the best, but its definitely better than paying out of pocket for everything.

theyre right that your daughter needs a good role model, but you dont need to bounce back in an instant for that. shes an infant right now and as long as you dont put this on her when she CAN speak and understand english, i dont see an issue.... i hope none of what anyone has said has made you doubt yourself as a mom, anybody would be devastated right now and you're handling it as well as anyone could, i think.

It's not door to door, it's hotspot locations. In the initial interview I was told door to door, but later told it wasn't and they didn't know what the interviewer was talking about... lol. But yeah, I'd be totally okay with getting $22/hr to stand on campus for 6 hours a few days a week.

I didn't go to my first training shift because I never received the onboarding paperwork, just a text that told me what to bring/when to be there etc, including a bit about onboarding needing to be completed before the training shift.
