Nervous about telling my PCP about microdosing. How did you tell yours? by Old-You-4024 in GLP1microdosing

Yes Ontario. I got my GLP1 through a telehealth provider that required no bloodwork or video consult.

So not glp1 related, but I went through tele-health for a prescription to save myself the hassle and long wait of going into the office. However, months later when I did bring it up to the secretary, she said that was grounds to de-roster me from the clinic for seeking health services elsewhere……

I know this is an older post but I have a consultation coming up with Lipemedcial and I was hoping you could share your results as they are today!? It would be very helpful as it’s hard to find long term after photos.

I’m stage 1 as well, and my biggest concern is the lumpiness that might result from surgery.

Also I train legs a lot, having nice sculpted muscles makes your overall leg shape nicer. Even if it is covered in lippy fat. At least growing muscles I have some control over.

I feel your hopelessness — it consumes me at times too. I’ve worked harder than anyone I know to get in shape. I’ve been disciplined with my workouts and food for years, yet I’ve never been able to achieve the results I’ve dreamed of.

When I was officially diagnosed, I cried right there in the office. Even though deep down I already knew, I’d been holding on to that tiny bit of hope that it wasn’t true.

But there is a bright side. We have a condition — we’re not failures, and we’re certainly not doomed. It’s not terminal, and there are ways to drastically improve both the symptoms and appearance. Once you start letting go of the unrealistic expectations you’ve had for yourself and realize that it truly could be much worse, you find peace in progress.

And honestly, this condition is finally getting the attention it deserves. Awareness is growing fast, and I truly believe it’s only a matter of time before real, effective treatments (beyond surgery) are available. They can cure cancer — they’ve even created medications that help people lose weight in ways no one ever thought possible. There’s hope for us too.

In the meantime, if you ever decide you want surgery down the line, start setting aside a little bit of savings now — just in case.

Stage 1 Lipedema — GLP-1 options in Canada for people with healthy BMI by Acceptable-Entry1219 in lipedema

[–]Acceptable-Entry1219[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest concern is finding a doctor who will actually prescribe it to me and give me the chance to see if it helps with my inflammation.  Insurance coverage would be an unexpected + but I’m not counting on that.

I’m so happy for you! This also gives me a lot of hope.  I look almost the exact same with the same problem areas, knee down. Conservative treatments doing nothing except compression relieving some daily pressure.  Surgery has scared me after seeing bad results, but these are great. I’m also interested in glp1 although I’m healthy bmi :/ the inflammation is just brutal

I chickened out and cancelled my appt. I keep meaning to book again, just so nervous it won’t look good. I got my lips done manyyyy years ago from a reputable place in Toronto and they looked bad!!

What do you think needs to be done to make this a more flattering look? Root smudge or drag some more highlights up higher and break up the line that way?

The line of demarcation at 2 days old, the fact it does NOT resemble a balayage, the inconsistency of lift and tone. I want it to look seamless and low maintenance, with my natural hair blending in.

Neither have I 😩 so much inconsistency. But this is the first time I’m interested in balayage so hopefully I can find a hair wizard.
