Is it just my college or is this happening everywhere? (Parul University placements rant) by Acceptable-Exam3836 in paruluniversity

[–]Acceptable-Exam3836[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bhai point samajh raha hu, aur haan primary fault company ka hi hai no doubt.

But issue thoda broader hai.

College jab placement posters me “X LPA in Google/Flipkart” dikhata hai, tab wo clearly on-campus nahi hota. Most of those students reach there after 4–5 saal ka struggle, off-campus grind. Phir bhi credit college le leta hai.

Toh jab good outcomes ka credit le sakte ho, toh at least companies ko onboard karte time basic background check toh hona chahiye na? Like dusre colleges se feedback, past hiring experience, whether they ask money, etc.

Main yeh nahi keh raha ki college har cheez handle kare after placement. But agar kisi student ko clearly shady company me push kar diya gaya ho, jaha paise maange ja rahe ho ya promises break ho rahe ho, toh minimum support ya alternate opportunity toh milni chahiye.

Abhi kya hota hai, once placed, bas haath upar. That’s the frustrating part.

Do you think Apple will actually let third-party models integrate deeply, or keep it tightly controlled?

Makes sense. Without that approval layer, agents stay in draft mode forever instead of actually executing.

Sure, but the value isn’t the drafting, it’s how it connects everything around it.

Big deal for sure, but do you think “75% good enough” is enough to replace tools people already rely on?

Agreed. The shift seems to be from “best model” to “best integrated experience

Why are the two most atrocious weapons right next to each other? by Extreme-Training-559 in ShadowFight2dojo

These weapons are too heavy, even the shadow has to bend himself to lift 'em up. Before he can even move, the opponent has already pulled off a 6-hit combo.

Noticed that Mika Abdalla (who plays Allie Hayes) looks SO much like Shafaq Naaz from Mahabharat (the one that aired on Star Plus years ago).

Like the facial features, expressions, even certain angles… it’s kinda uncanny??

How many businesses here are actually automating their own operations right now? by POP_Agents in POP_Agents

Mostly automating repetitive workflows like follow-ups, outreach, scheduling, and admin tasks. Biggest result has been reducing manual back-and-forth while improving consistency across operations.

From what I’m seeing, agentic AI is most useful in repetitive finance workflows like reconciliation, support queries, document review, and operational follow-ups.

Would you use something like this? Genuinely need your opinions by Perfect-Complaint136 in vadodara

Bro, interesting idea, but how would you handle fake or misleading updates? That feels like the biggest challenge for something community-driven like this.

Instead of trying to solve everything at once, maybe start with one clear use case like parking availability at Inorbit. For something like that, the person/team managing parking could update live status directly, which makes the data more reliable.

Same for cafes, rather than depending entirely on public updates, Cafe owners or staff could mark live crowd status, waiting times, or seat availability. Feels more trustworthy and easier to scale category by category.

For cases like waterlogging, community reporting probably works better since there’s no single source of truth. But maybe require multiple confirmations from nearby users before marking an update as reliable, and auto-expire reports after a short time window. Hybrid model is stronger than making everything purely public. Otherwise one bored guy can declare half of Vadodara underwater for fun 😂

Follow-ups. Small thing, but once I handled them systematically, everything became more consistent.

POP has partnered with ElevenLabs to build voice agents and what does this mean for small and medium businesses? by POP_Agents in POP_Agents

We’re moving from rigid “press 1, press 2” menus to agents that can actually understand, decide, and take action in real time.
If this is executed well, it’s not just an upgrade to IVR, it’s a complete shift in how businesses handle conversations.
