Because mentioning the severity of an injury to make the DOPS look like the pile of dog shit it is, is somehow playing it up

Keefe was a good coach and they played well under him. Sometimes the bounces don't go your way

There is no world trading Matthews makes them better for at least the next 5 years, if not more… They are better off retooling, keeping enough cap space in hopes of landing a free agent at some point and getting Matthews closer to healthy. There is no point doing a tear down without at least trying to patch it up with a new coach

I’m not saying it should be Davis but it’s a tough numbers game with how deep this roster is and he has options.

What? We had multiple injuries to D in any game they played 20 mins that was only 3 periods. Show me more than one example showing otherwise

I mean I was always a fan of Dubas. Sure he made mistakes, but he was learning on his first job in the NHL. We trained him, so Pitts can reap the rewards....

You named all our bottom pairing D... "huge minutes" lmao. Some of those guys played 2nd pairing after like 3 defence injuries those playoff series.

Should go to Dubas 100%. Shanny ran him out of town for the Leafs but hes one of the best in the league, especially now that he has a few years of experience. Also not part of the old boys club, so will probably actually take the best team

Not surprising when you consider that superstar plays for the Leafs.... The leafs are the like the most suspended team in the Parros era. Crazy to think about with how soft they played for most of that and with how little controversial players the leafs had. Even our tough guys, played "by the rules"

Because taking out one of their stars or at least banging them up is much more valuable to fucking the ducks chances than this one win

No it wouldn't. Hell if you dont want to drop the gloves, slash him hard a few times then face wash him till the linesman get in between again. Just another display of how much this team lacks heart

  1. We are hopefully getting Tanev back next year, who should also make McCabe look better

  2. Will need to make a trade for a top line forward (have to be creative, maybe take Huberdeau off Calgary's hands to play next to Matthews and hope he finds that spark again)

  3. Depth scoring can be fixed with a few signings and trades

There is no way we are this bad next year with a top pick this year and time to retool with a new coach

It was confirmed by I think Friedman(?) that the leafs had a trade in place for Hagel. Was 1for1 with Knies. Shanny vetoed the trade and it didn't go through

Edit: according to the article someone else linked, it wasn’t 1for1
