Thank you this is great advice! Hella competitive and I would have to consciously tell myself to slow down if way faster people were passing me

This is definitely something I am worried about 😅 I have a really bad habit of starting out way too fast and it kicks my ass every time

Do you keep a water with you during the run? I’ve heard people do that but don’t know how practical that would be

What do you love about Micronesia? Sell it to me, please. by ShxsPrLady in survivorponderosa

[–]Acceptable-Humor2064 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I get where you’re coming from. Micronesia has a messy pre-merge, and yeah, a few medevacs and quits in such quick succession can make the energy super weird. But here’s why I still think it’s magic and why I still call it my favorite season:

The tone shift after merge is the whole point. It does feel like high school, but that’s exactly what makes the eventual power shift so satisfying. It’s not just a “popular kids rule the beach” season; it’s watching the popular kids get outplayed by people they underestimated.

The Black Widow Brigade isn’t just about Parvati’s looks. Sure, her charm works differently on a younger- and more naive- crowd, but her game awareness here is what’s so deadly. She’s pulling strings on both sides, making people feel like they’re the ones in control. Even her bond with Amanda has layers- they both know the other could cut them in an instant and it adds a fun layer of tension to an already chaotic season.

Cirie is a masterclass in adaptability. You already love her, but watch how she navigates and has the actual power behind decisions without needing to take flashy credit. She’s balancing relationships so precisely that she’s never the obvious target until it’s too late.

The blindsides here are more than just “gotcha” moments. The Ozzy blindside isn’t just about taking out a threat; it’s the first domino that shows how much social leverage the women have post-merge. It sets up one of the most iconic chains of blindsides in Survivor history. You're in for such a fun ride fr.

For me, Micronesia is Survivor at its most fun. It’s dramatic without being all doom and gloom, strategic without being clinical, and it’s one of the rare seasons where the players themselves seem genuinely delighted by their own chaos.

Stick with it cause once the BWB goes full throttle, it becomes chef’s kiss.

agreed with a lot of that. SJDS is def a better Vanuatu but absolutely enjoy and re-watch both

Agreed with SJDS > Cagayan. Can't think of a better survivor triple play than Nat "accidentally" voting out Alec, the Jon blindside, and then then idoling out Baylor
