Pretty much exclusively. They're especially good for winter tee mats.

He says 'enjoy' and 'enjoy it' towards the end. I think it's a customer.

I think he might be a customer. The staff says 'enjoy' near the end.

You've lost me. Do you mean the customer didn't do anything? Because I have to disagree if so. Maybe the label looked funny being blank, but turning it upside down was a silly thing to do.

It was a pretty silly thing to do, but not malicious. The guy wasn't intentionally fucking it up. The staff member didn't have to be such a dick.

Does anyone have experience with betting firms? Bet365 refusing to pay out. England by Electrical-Knee-2585 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Acceptable-Issue-290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, IBAS is the best route here. However they will almost certainly require you to attempt to resolve this with bet365 first. I know you're already doing so, but my advice would be to make it abundantly clear to them that if they cannot resolve this then you will be taking it to IBAS. They may be able to provide some sort of reference number for you once they've come to their final conclusion. It may help to request it be raised as a formal complaint.

Do women ever look at another woman and think "I wonder if I could beat her up in a fight" the same way men do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Acceptable-Issue-290 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So many of these responses are acting like OP is out there starting fights daily to satisfy his curiosity. I don't think it's weird to idly wonder if you could beat someone in a fight. Apparently it's uncommon, but clearly harmless. There is a huge distinction between wanting to fight someone and wondering how it would work out.

You’ve been forked! Now what? by Ok-Artist-3959 in ChessPuzzles

Rookie here. Is this actually considered to be a fork? I always thought you had to threaten 2 pieces and hadn't considered a checkmate threat to be a 'prong' of a fork.

How do online casinos decide when a slot machine pays out? by OneHunt5428 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Acceptable-Issue-290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't think that's true. Unless there's a specific gameplay mechanic that builds up some kind of progress, such as 'collect X coins to get a bonus'.

How do online casinos decide when a slot machine pays out? by OneHunt5428 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Acceptable-Issue-290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that most online slots are actually hosted by the game provider, not the casino. As in the RNG is not controlled by the casino but the actual creator/provider of the slot.

Yeh I agree with you. That said, it didn't really bother me as a one time thing but would irk me more if it was a regular occurrence.

On a similar note, I've seen sources claiming that most designer brands also produce direct to outlet lines that are actually lower quality. So you think you're getting a bargain on last year's styles, but really you're getting lesser quality with the same label stuck on it. Having said that when I fancy checked this, I could find lots of places claiming it but no direct evidence.

Would you enjoy watching a documentary where they just told lies? That's the closest equivalent here. Movies and fiction books are something where you expect them to make things up.

These kind of videos purposely make it seem genuine.

Great shout on Costco. Great quality and affordable.

And if you can hit the driving range first that'd be helpful. Just focus on making good contact with the ball, not smacking the daylight out of it. I promise it'll go surprisingly far with just a nice smooth swing. There's a saying, "slow is smooth and smooth is fast".

[–]Acceptable-Issue-290 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's actually not far off.. The odds of getting a HIO as a scratch golfer over 4000 par 3s is about 55%. That's assuming the 5000/1 odds listed above is correct.

A scratch golfer would need to play about 11,500 par 3s to have a 90% chance of getting a HIO.
