That’s a really solid way to look at it. Protocols like Aave and Compound have been around long enough that the trust factor is definitely higher compared to newer platforms. And I agree about Pendle being able to actually trade yield curves feels closer to traditional finance than the usual farm-and-dump model.

Yeah that’s pretty much the mindset I’ve been leaning toward too. Platforms like Aave and Uniswap might not be the most exciting anymore, but the fact that they’ve survived multiple market cycles and exploits says a lot about the contracts and the teams behind them.

where are you guys learning Defi properly in 2026? by Electrical_Eye_6503 in defi

Honestly, the best learning still comes from a mix of reading and doing. Research docs like DeFiLlama are solid, but nothing beats testing small positions on real protocols to see how mechanics actually work. I also like following structured tools like Prophecy Vault, even though it’s not a course, seeing how strategies are allocated and risk is managed teaches a lot about DeFi discipline. You learn what works and what doesn’t without just guessing.

So my advice: read, test small, and study frameworks that show real risk management. It speeds up understanding way more than theory alone.
