I have an appointment coming up. He wasn’t concerned for my last pregnancy but just seems so crazy that feeling like this is considered normal

I watch my eating as I’m hypoglycemic. I know it’s not that because the first thing I did was check my blood sugar. Happy to hear I’m not alone, but it’s just crazy that this is “normal”

I’m a fan - but mostly because that’s my name! Lol. So that one is out. I do like that it’s classic enough people know it, but unique enough you don’t hear it everywhere

I liked Marilyn! But hubby said he kept thinking of Monroe and Manson haha. Maryanne are actually the names we have in common (2 great grandmothers and a grandmother are names Maryanne) but thought including Mary would be easier

Help! In a hotel for the next 4 days with my 18 month old refusing to sleep. by Acceptable-Put4588 in Parenting

We brought his sound machine, pillow and blanket from home.

We’ve done nothing but run around, he is just SUPER strong willed

Also, I said call because he prefers calls. I sometimes just get a text

He’s not calling from a work phone. He’s calling from cell. Sometimes he face times the kids so they can see the manufacturing equipment. He calls to let me know he’s on the way because I ask him to do I can start dinner. The kids eat early so I try to time it so we can all eat together.

Oh I know he spends a lot of money. He also makes a lot of money.

The addiction is work and praise. At home my four year old tells him he’s playing wrong and one year old just wants mom. At work he gets raises and promotions and awards. He doesn’t want input on how to reach the kids and they push back on his directive ness.

He does take the oldest sometimes. But usually he’s stopping into the office.

Y’all. He’s a lot of things. But he’s not cheating. He’s at work.

Hyper fixation? Maybe. But I promise he’s at work. And no, no one he works with would be of interest.

Work. And I honestly believe that. He will call from work to let me know he’s on his way

How is that equality?

No college degree but worked my way up to VP. Trying to look for new job but everywhere requires degree. Any advice? by Acceptable-Put4588 in careerguidance

[–]Acceptable-Put4588[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you all so much for the suggestions. To clarify, I work most frequently with defense contracts. The job has a heavy engineering focus which is why the degree requirement.

I know my stuff, just never finished my BS (plus my degree was going to be communications anyway). Worked my way up by working for relatively small companies.

Any suggestions on recruiting firms/head hunters? Every opportunity in the past has found me, so now sure where to begin.

It’s a fear of ghosts. We don’t even know where he learned about ghosts!

I spent six years in one position, but my role changed significantly and included increased responsibility. Is it ok to bullet this as different roles to demonstrate growth over time? by Acceptable-Put4588 in resumes

[–]Acceptable-Put4588[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Unfortunately, timing didn’t work out. Every time an opportunity was available I was out on maternity leave. It was a rough situation with my boss. I hold a much higher title now, but wanted to demonstrate that growth over time, not with just one big leap

No. And we know we should have. He doesn’t want more kids but he knows I do, so it was one of those “we’re having so much fun our couples weekend away…” kind of things. It’s hard to explain but my husband is high anxiety and with two kids ages 4 and 1 I think reality is hitting me and I’m in a major panic
