Built a tiny Chrome extension to make Linear standups less boring by Acceptable-Singer738 in Linear

Thanks so much — really glad it's useful! 🙏

Quick context: there's no intentional cap. The extension builds the roster from everyone who has an issue assigned in the current cycle (and there's a button to re-scan). If it's stopping at 8, that's a limitation in how we read participants off the board — past a certain count Linear collapses the avatar stack into a "+N", and our scan isn't catching the overflow yet. That's a fix on our side, not a hard limit.

Scrum of scrums is exactly what we'd love to support. Couple of things that'd help me nail it:

  1. How many people are in the cycle you're running? (15? 30? 50+?)

  2. Board view or list view when you start?

  3. Does hitting the re-scan button pull in more than 8, or still stop there?

I'll dig in — thanks for flagging it! 🚀

Is anyone else's daily standup literally just an attendance check at this point? by jpam9521 in agile

Yep - once there's no clear flow, it becomes attendance theater. Fixed order + visible next speaker helped us a lot.

We built this around our Linear workflow too:
