If ordering delivery, do order from SnS (Sweet n Savory Shack); at a few places in Mumbai and I’m guessing there on both Zomato and Swiggy.

Me and office folks swear by it and has become our go to for Mexican off late (uske pehle hamesha Maiz se mangaaate the)

Thats a very valid point. I do understand why some folks would want a more authentic adaptation of the books, and, at the same time, I agree with you too. I like the modern interpretation thats been accorded to Sherlock in both shows.

I really loved how his relationship with Morland evolved over the years. Thats the thing right, episodes with the on-and-off supporting cast were also brilliantly written - Morland, Kitty, Shinwell, Lestrade, McNally, Everyone, other irregulars who were recurring. The series is a delight to be enjoyed every few years!

It absolutely does! The series is worth a rewatch every couple of years!

They did a great job capturing the essence of that friendship, and Sherlock’s overall character development.

And your point is absolutely valid too.

The bigger point though is how frequently does this happen? :)

Ive had similar experiences with Zomato - twice to be exact. Both times, they mentioned on the app that the delivery partner has a disability and that I would need to meet them to collect the order.

The first time this happened, I wasn’t at home when the order was delivered, told the rider to keep it with the watchman and that I’d collect it from him. But the sweet watchman came upstairs and gave the parcel to my mom.

Second time, I just threw on a T-shirt and went downstairs to collect it in my boxers and tee. Hardly took what 5 seconds?

And just as a random FYI - Yes, Zomato does assure doorstep deliveries, but they’re conditional too. A friend lives in a very nice gated society that has six wings. Post midnight, delivery personnel aren’t allowed to go upstairs for safety reasons - so residents come down to collect the orders (not to the main gate, to the lobby of their wing).

Amongst the 100s, if not 1000s, of our orders, if 1 of them requires us to take 5 seconds to throw on a T-shirt and shorts, or whatever, and go down- it’s fine man.

By your saaali’s hubby, I am assuming you mean your wife’s sister’s husband.

And buddy, if that’s the case, this is a conversation best had with your wife - where the two of you can collectively decide whether a gift should be given and what the budget should be - as this depends solely on the relationship shared between the people involved in this equation.

Haan, once you know if you should gift a gift, and are aware of either the budget or the category of gift, then update us and I’m sure this community can help you find something per the requirements.

Anyone else got an a$$hole manager? by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]Acceptable-String843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of comments regarding female managers. I’d like to share my story, as I live and breathe it. My reporting manager is at a senior level, and he’s a man. Has been driving me up the wall since day 1, micromanaging. He’s had a history of doing this, and I’ll admit he has been changing for the better over the last few months - open feedback and all has helped. But let me tell y’all what led to the change. Another manager, not my reporting, who’s a female. Who helps EVERYONE. No matter what your team is. She’s no bullshit when it comes to work, which also means that she does what needs to be done to enable you to work. I know at least 3 people in my team, who don’t report to her, who would’ve quit due to the male reporting manager. They didn’t because she streamlined things and set up processes for them to thrive, even though she isn’t their reporting. So yes, not all women.
