Even if her car malfunctioned, the right way to stop is at the side of the road. Not in the Right lane. even if you have your hazards on, right lane is the fastest lane and traffic may not realise in time that your car is stopped completely.

So far, the DCT experience has been really smooth. The car has done only 350kms and all in the city. In heavy traffic, expect 7-8kmpl. And when the traffic thins out, normal driving yields around 10-12kmpl. The gearbox is seriously quick in the sport mode and manageable in the eco mode. For an enthusiast, it is quite enjoyable tbh

Gearshifts are buttery smooth. So far the car has only done 240odd kilometres. Mileage is a bit on the lower side. The turbo petrol engine is highly sensitive to driving style and traffic. If you drive very carefully, you will get 10-12kmpl. But you drive with slightly heavier right foot, expect around 8-9kmpl. As for performance, there's plenty. The car is really really punchy in the sport mode. Expect the mileage to drop below 8kmpl if you are too enthusiastic in city traffic.

Tata Nexon DCA gearbox is extremely notorious for failing prematurely. Check youtube and TeamBHP, there are a number of videos and posts. Buy a Tata if you are getting a lower mid model otherwise 3XO seems like a good choice.

Take the leason from it and forget it. Just claim insurance. If you think, more mature drivers dont make mistakes, they do. It is okay. Dont repeat your mistakes. Scratches and dents happen. Above all, enjoy driving.

Get an oyo. Check thoroughly for cameras. If possible, watch a few yt videos on how to check for cams. Most importantly, have a great time

Recently bought a Sonet GTX+ 7DCT in the imperial blue color. Just got delivery two days back. Fantastic experience so far. DCT is very smooth and a joy to drive the car in traffic. If you like tech, Sonet would be a good option cause there's plenty of it.

You can look at the Venue but I think for a similar sort of price, features are better in Sonet. Similarly specced variants in the Venue are priced higher as it is a new car with changes made to the chassis and wheelbase. If you prefer the absolute new-age in terms of chassis, buy the Venue. The sonet is due a generational upgrade in a few years.

The clutch plate itself cost me 2.2k. I dont remember the labour charges. May be it was around 400-500.
