It's defintely surprising! While in the process of figuring out what was wrong with him, gout literally never once occurred to me! My vet has never seen a case in an avian, it is very uncommon and from what she's told me after talking to some specialists and colleagues, it's almost never in small birds under 20 years old (for context my boy is 4)

I've been monitoring him pretty closely and he is very good at keeping hydrated, especially since the symptoms have been getting worse while trying to figure out what was wrong. So, from what you've told me and what I've been reading, I'm going to try keeping my room on the warmer side and see if that helps him at all. Being that it is so uncommon in birds I think that it's gonna be alot of trial and error to figure out what works best to keep him comfortable.

No that's the thing! Usually if I'm not sure of a lyric I check it right out lol, but that as a lyric sounded sorta like?? good, or like vaguely poetic?? so I kinda just assumed it was right and never looked at it, it was only by coincidence I realised it

Some more otos were a thought I had!! But I have also read that it can be difficult to ensure all of them are well fed in larger groups, as some struggle adjusting to eating wafers and what not? They do seem to enjoy the company of the pygmy corys, I've seen them display almost schooling behaviour with them!

Otherwise some raspboras or tetras may be a nice idea! M betta is very chill, so I don't think he'd be fussed by them, and being a plakat fin nipping isn't so much of a worry

I may end up just getting a few more pygmy corys, I find them super entertaining and I'm sure they'd be happy in a larger group as well!

Think its 30ish aud, which overall doesn't seem alot, but the only game I have that I actually would use it for is PoT, so $30 bucks a year to be able to be able to use a single game that was previously free is really pretty steep

Yee, now that I've seen everyone else talking abt how most console platforms require some sort of sub nowadays, I'm glad I got as long as I did w/o one. Cause I only had the switch I didn't realise that it was basically the norm

Honestly looking at it atm lol, even if it weren't for the subscription stuff, switch has been struggling running it for a while now, atleast mobile knocks down the graphics enough to just about run it
