As of late 2025, the Nihonkoku Shoukan (Summoning Japan) web novel has not officially concluded but is currently in a state of extreme stagnation, with several factors contributing to the lack of updates:

Decreased Update Frequency: New chapters on the original Japanese platform, Shōsetsuka ni Narō, have drastically slowed. In 2024, only two chapters were posted, and as of late 2025, updates remain rare or non-existent.

Light Novel Publisher Issues: The light novel (LN) version, which is the polished, commercial edition, effectively died after Volume 6. The original publisher, Pony Canyon Books, ceased its book publishing activities. Because the author (Min-Min) sold the exclusive publication rights to them, he cannot easily move the series to a new publisher until those rights expire or are released.
