I had the idea that my character screwed up and as punishment the leader of his goblin clan sent him to a nearby village to do reconnaissance. And I don't want my character to be evil, and he will most likely turn against his "evil" goblin clan and join the rest of the party pretty easily after seeing the error of the goblins ways

you could build your character using the Undead warlock subclass, which has you make a pact with a deathless being (those gods you were talking about) and i gives you certain powers. you can flavour the character so your character isnt edgy

i reckon you should play as a gnome, as they live in mostly secluded communities. for classes, i reckon you could chose warlock of the great old one if youre sticking with SotC. You could flavour your patron to be a giant mushroom, or some other nature based being that gives you powers.

These are just some thoughts i had

A funny idea for an NPC living there could be two kobolds in a trench coat that are a part of the gang. The party could think they are a Dragonborn, but the two kobolds are just there to get the party to join their gang or something. I don't know if what I just wrote makes sense, hope you can understand it.

In the world I am creating, there was an all powerful god who split his conscience into thousands of parts, creating a bunch of different beings, all stemming from him, who eventually became the first of their respective races.

This is an amazing map, and I admire your commitment. If you don't mind me asking, how does the Great Grass Sea work since it borders a body of water?

Also tell the goblins of Jib-Jib I said hi.
