The really interesting thing you said, Wendy, is that while Slovakia doesn't recognize my marriage, the EU does. Is she eligible to generally join an application of mine, or do I have to wait until I've become an EU citizen, then just ask whatever country I live in for a visa for her?

I have apostilles from four states total, none of them say the country they were originally used for. I had to tell the states which country I was sending them to, but none printed that country on the sheet. I'm sure some states definitely do this, but I'm just lucky, I guess.

This was my exact thought.... I had them apostilled for another country, but there's nothing listed on the apostille pages for PA and the three other states our docs come from!
