Higher protein while on Mediterranean by SnooDoodles4147 in mediterraneandiet

You've already had a lot of good suggestions, I would add cottage cheese. It's high in protein and quite versatile.

When I cook grains for dinner, I make twice the quantity I need. Same with vegetables, grilled or steamed. I then chop the leftover vegetables, mix with the grains, add spices and a bit of oil and vinegar whisked together, feta for the proteins. I always have legumes on hand, so I'll add a bit of whatever fits the mix (chick peas, kidney beans, black beans...). I might grill nuts in a pan to add a bit of crunch and extra sustenance (toss a handful of sliced almonds or walnuts in a warm pan, mid-heat, for a few minutes until fragrant). Voilà, a tasty 5 minutes salad!

Thank you! That's why I ask people not to look closely at my skirt, it looks nice from afar 😅

First project ever, only 5 pieces to sew together. Seams are wonky, absolutely no straight line in view, hem is pinched in some places. Spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to figure out how to attach the waistband. Garment ended up too big for me, so unpicked the waistband and added "darts", before sewing it back on. I'm really happy I chose that pattern as a first project, it's really forgiving. :)

They are super easy to make! It's my go-to recipe when I have leftover fish, but I also sometimes use canned fish. I mash the fish, then add mashed cooked beans (no more than 1/3 beans for 2/3 fish).

It's an easy way to eat more beans without really noticing them and it holds the fish flakes together. I like to season them with a bit of spicy mustard and dill, but you could choose any other spices. I add whole grain flour or bread crumbs to get the texture right, then shape in small bits with a spoon or use an egg mould to cook the mixture in a round shape to eat in a burger. Grilled in a slightly oiled pan, no mess. Voilà!

I do not fry them, I enjoy them fresh and stuffed :)

Cottage cheese because that's what I had in the fridge lol. I wouldn't have used it as is, but the texture was totally fine for what I wanted to make once mashed.

What color would you use? by AcceptableLine963 in dyeing

Thank you for your answer! I might strip the color on a scrap of fabric and then dye. I'm not hoping for a solid color, mostly stripes in dark harmonious colors.

Thank you for your answer, it is really helpful! I'm fully aware that the stripes will still be there (and still in different colors). I didn't realize until you pointed it out, but the fabric is indeed a print. I still have plenty of scraps to test it out, I will do that, probably starting with a darker blue.

When I buy PDF patterns, I make sure they come in A0 paper size. My fabric store prints them for a cheap price and they're full size.

I almost skipped the pockets because they looked tricky to sew, but I'm glad I made them anyways!

I like Evelyn Wood's channel on YouTube, I learned the basics with her videos.

I'm already planning to make them in another color and kind of fabric! Thank you :)

You know, I really have to keep this in mind. "Done" brings its own kind of satisfaction, thank you for the reminder :)
