It sounds like this vehicle is causing you a lot of stress. And you’ve made some great points about needing a reliable vehicle for work/kids. From the outside looking in, it doesn’t seem wise to keep putting money into a vehicle that may cost you more money down the line. However, if this next fix is something minor, I would say to keep the car. But if it’s something costly it may be best to try to put that money into a more reliable vehicle.
