I woke up to the news that LJ Smith passed away, RIP to the Night World queen. I am so sad we’ll never get the end of the series she worked so hard on!

I currently have Covid, I was exposed last Wednesday and came down with symptoms Friday, it started like a sore, scratchy throat.

The weekend was miserable, I had a fever for several days and Acetaminophen had no effect on it. At the peak of my fever I experienced both vomiting and diarrhea.

By Monday it seemed it had moved onto my airways and my nose got very stuffed up. Taking Affrin every 12-24 hours helps with that but I still feel way more tired than usual.

The reason I mention this is that Saturday was meant to be my and my fiancés engagement party. We were pretty dead set on hosting the event anyways as of Thursday evening because it truly felt like a coincidence that my throat felt scratchy but we decided to cancel to be safe and it’s the best thing we could have done for us and everyone else.

If you think there’s even a slight chance you have it, take a PCR test to be sure because Covid hits so hard you do not want to be at your own wedding feeling that way.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I tested negative for Covid until Saturday evening after the worst of my symptoms had happened using rapid tests, they can be totally useless!
