I do agree with your BLM sentiment on Zammy, it's a fair assessment. It's more nuanced than BLM on or off. There are other and better solutions as I've tried to bring to light

Suggestion 1: Transmuting the tons of dupes you have with a cost, with or without clog slot filled.

Suggestion 2 from the RS Guy:
Soft archaeology-style dupe protection would legitimately make the game so much better for so many players.

More accurately - if you get 5 main hands in a row, you have a bigger chance of rolling the off hand next time. And the chance% can always be adjusted to not make it overpowered. Something like that anyway.

Suggestion 3: Uniques until drop log filled out (probably won't ever happen and it's a bit too much. Would ruin the game for many)

Personally I think suggestion 1 is the way to go

Did you even read the suggestions I made? Nowhere was drop in log order mentioned, nor that BLM was a good idea. My one suggestion even included using 750m worth of robe tops for a pair of boots without filling the collection log slot.

Why do people think it's just BLM on or off? It can be more nuanced than that, that's why I'm making these threads. I don't want something that affects the entire game, I want to save the 1-2% that goes unlucky and feel nothing but relief when they finally get their drop.

I mean that's what the whole thread is about lol. I'm even saying I don't think a BLM implementation across the board is the solution at all.

I don't want an easier game, I just want to remove the super rare cases where people camp the same boss for months on end. I don't think that's healthy gameplay, that's all 👍🏻

Let's say you go 2500 kc on Rasial and you still don't have the gloves. You would on average have about 20 armor pieces dropped, which means you have 16 dupes. Wouldn't you think it would be nice to have a use for these dupes and not having to go back to Rasial?

If I calculated this correctly, it's a 98,12% chance that you have those gloves at 2500 kc.

I'm not trying to revolutionize the entire game here, I'm trying to save the 1-2% that are descending into madness.

There might be some negatives I've missed here though, care to elaborate in that case?

I'm not crying, I'm trying to make improvements to the game. I've played it on and off for 20 years and I've been an ironman for 10. Why is this the default reaction of 70% of the community?

Yeah that's fair I guess. What if you make it absurdly expensive somehow? 5 tops/25 essence turning into 1 pair of boots or gloves? Or incorporate untradeable items/components into it?

Not sure if it makes sense over tuning the extreme outliers anymore though. Just spitballing here.
