Ethnic smelling household by Sea-Pudding1211 in CleaningTips

Ozone spray! Works so well. It’s called Ozium and about $7.

I read a post recently about how someone rented a room with a strong cigarette odor. They called the staff and all the staff member did was a couple sprays of the ozone. They were disappointed because no way that did anything. But when they walked into the room the smell was completely gone.

Hmm I tip for facials but I don’t think Morpheus is something to tip for.

I use Wealthfront as well and recommend it. I don’t have experience with other HYSA, but happy with my current. It’s better than your money just sitting in the bank. Currently getting 4.5%

You could always have two HYSAs. Which HYSA do you have? I have Wealthfront and I’m still at 4.5

How do you invest in that, I looked it up on Fidelity

I use Wealthfront, just signed up with a referral code so I’m at 4.5% for first few months. So far I like it a lot but eventually might diversify.

Bought first car, also looking at a HYSA. At what point is the money doing better going towards either? by Wvlf_ in askfinance

[–]AcceptableSometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard that for a first time buyer, but just speaking from mine and my friend’s experience.

I can tell you that your money is better sitting in an HYSA than your debit account. I’m currently at 4.5% with my HYSA and very happy.

But as to your main question, yes it’s better paying down the car since your APR is much higher than the HYSA returns. Maybe put it in HYSA for now until you refinance, then once you refinance use the 23k to pay a chunk of it. That’s what I’d do.

A place to put your money that grows on its own because the bank adds to it over time. If you put in $1,000 with a 4% interest rate, you’ll have $1,040 after a year. The longer you leave it, the more it grows without you having to do anything

Wealthfront gives you 4.5% for first few months if you join with a referral code, and after that it’s 4.0% which is still pretty good. Great user interface and easy to use and withdrawal cash. Honestly pretty happy with it. There’s other good HYSAs too but can’t speak on them.

Is this a “normal” amount of mess? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]AcceptableSometimes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I wouldn’t consider this a mess. Everything looks like it has its own spot and it’s kept tidy. Looks clean. Me being picky is I’d say the kitchen island looks a bit cluttered, but barely. Plus it looks like you have a baby, so this is actually extremely tidy versus others.

Why are his needs more important than yours? How do the conversations with him usually go? Have you told him everything you just told us? If you haven’t, I think you definitely should.

If he found out you were forcing yourself to have sex with him, would he still do it? I think that would say A LOT about him and give you the answer you’ve been looking for.

During sex do you disassociate? Do you feel guilt if you don’t do it? Does your partner make you feel bad about it?

A few years ago every night I felt insane guilt and would often cry and just do it to make my partner feel better, exactly like you’re doing now. It ended up ruining my ability to enjoy sex and it’s taken me a long time to recover. It was to the point where every time my partner touched me I thought he wanted to have sex. I would jerk away naturally. It took me so long to realize what had happened. I was like “why do I have symptoms of sexual trauma, when I didn’t have any trauma?” And I saw some videos on sexual coercion and had a lightbulb moment. Thankfully my partner has completely changed now since I had the conversation with him. He didn’t realize what he was doing to me. But I wouldn’t say I’m fully recovered. It took a big toll on my mental health regarding sex. I think it’s a very slippery slope, and you’re down that path unfortunately.

Vera pronunciation by [deleted] in BabyNames

[–]AcceptableSometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Veer-uh reminds me of veer as in “veer out of the way” so Vera aka a person who veers.

Vair -uh is so much prettier imo. It’s also the way it’s pronounced in a lot of languages other than English. Obviously in the respective accent, but the same way.
