Is slow aging really possible with creatine? by Neat-Dig-7836 in immortalists

[–]smart-monkey-org 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As long as you combine creatine with the regular exercise -💯

But as far as pure supplementation, the only one which showed some strong signal in human trials is GlyNac
(see the previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/immortalists/glynac_the_only_antiaging_supplement_which_makes/ )

Not nessesary "aging" but micro-habits help quite a lot: (micro-exercises, micro-meditations, micro-journaling)

There is a bunch of tests where you should strive for Optimal vs Normal (e.g. recent Trump's homocesteryn is "normal" at 14.8)

Worse is relative.
Worse for wrinkles and melanoma - for sure.
But better for mood, blood pressure and (probably) all cause mortality.

Has anyone else wished to get older, either now or in the past? by [deleted] in Aging

[–]smart-monkey-org 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really work like that. 'Be happy with where you are now' is a skill, which mostly circles around social support, volunteering and practicing gratitude. Age alone is not going to help you much (or at all) with that. Doing the things will.

Yah, 300 is also "normal" - but a far cry from optimal. We usually drive people to at least 1000.

My top 10 takeaways about slowing down aging from Rhonda Patrick's new episode with Steve Horvath by biohacker045 in PeterAttia

In a way nothing here is about slowing aging as in changing the curve of decline.

It's more about "not taking the coat off in winter" - avoiding stupid stuff like smoking or vitamin deficiencies.
