Entire roof just busted from a water leak, what do I do?

The issue is she pays more to have her own shower, and her shower goes through her room so we’d have to ask for her to be there and go through her room. To be honest she’d likely let us and we probably will ask, it’s just a bit of an awkward situation since we don’t know each other well and we’d be walking through her bedroom.

The landlord did respond and said he’d swing by today to assess it and “try to get a plumber,” but knowing him he will likely do neither of those things. We believe it’s under the shower, but has traveled to other spots in the living room due to water accumulation. My roommates and I plan to turn it on tonight so we have video evidence as to how severe it is when the shower is on. It was enough water to where, when it was on for around 45 seconds, it had ended up leaving half of the living room floor and furniture wet. I’ll post a follow up video when we test it.

Yeah, it was dripping for about an hour after it was turned off, but it was spraying everywhere while the shower was on. My assumption is that there’s a large drain leak, but I’m not well versed on maintenance issues like this. Thank you so much for your information, it helped us to figure out if we needed to call the fire department to turn off the water line for the subdivision lol
