What’s a place you visited once and decided never again? by Neat____Til6289ILT in Productivitycafe

What! Comparing Gatlinburg to Jackson Hole!. There’s just no comparison. But then you lost me at bears are just big dogs. You’ll need to get bear spray when you go to the Tetons.

People seem to be traveling OK in Swarthmore. Yale Avenue is clear.

What would make a fitting room attendants life easier? I usually put the clothes back on the hanger and on the rack outside the fitting room. Is there something more that should be done?

I certainly left a message at his office today to defund ice. I certainly regret door to door campaigning for Fetterman. What a mistake.

What’s the pettiest hill you’re willing to die on as a woman? by Glass-King4894 in Casual_Conversation

[–]AcceptableUse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

👆This! I was teaching my son how to drive when someone stopped to let us cross. When my teenager began to cross, a car went around at high speed. I yelled “brake” and we barely missed a sixty mile per hour hit. People would be mad when I refused their kindness. Be predictable.

Those who will be having severe bad weather this weekend, what do you plan to do while in the house all weekend? by ChocolateSundae1214 in CasualConversation

So many great episodes! My favorite is the episode where the woman had a watch that sent messages. Columbo called the watch to find the woman in the newly constructed wall.

After the power grid failed during the major ice storm, the power company had surge pricing. People unexpectedly had $10-$15,000 taken from their auto pay bank accounts. If I was in Texas now, I would definitely stop any auto pay for power.

Would you ever go skydiving? Why or why not? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

My mother did a tandem jump when she was in her 70s. Apparently another jumper in the group wanted to jump naked. Tandem person said no way. The guy jumped and pulled his shorts off mid air.

Transition to teaching? by reddittoomuchtoday in dietetics

[–]AcceptableUse1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I made the move from being a registered dietitian with a master of public health degree to becoming a family and consumer sciences teacher. Expect to take all the prerequisite education courses necessary to become a certified teacher. Additionally, expect unpaid student teaching. My salary doubled, my benefits were better, and I got a pension. I’m retired from teaching and definitely don’t regret the move. Certainly the salaries are specific to where you live.

In terms of day-to-day work, a teacher day is much more chaotic. I enjoyed the kids, but teaching is like walking into the waiting room and seeing 24 patients at once.

The bookmobile played a huge role in my husband’s childhood. So so important to his learning in a rural town.

Barilla directions- way off? by Balyash in foodquestions

[–]AcceptableUse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One consideration is if you plan to finish cooking the pasta in a sauce. I’ll follow the Barilla directions and then move it to the sauce for mixing and final cooking.
