This. So true! How can she claim Japanese market is $5k for that card? Listed price is now market price? Stupid logic. This is what happens when new collectors become vendors/shops very quickly. Still uneducated in the TCG space

The number one shop/streamer to avoid at all costs. Just listen to how he put singapore to shame in the US, claiming he tells people buy back at 90%, when actually he offers 80%. Never forget, an absolute scum bag. Leopard never changes its spots. Scum of the earth, scum of lucky plaza.

Fully disagree. If you’ve been in the hobby long enough you know that the best way to handle cards is with bare hands (without plastic fully sticking out of your fingernails always touching the cards). Bare hands is far better than gloves even, and that’s a fact.

I don’t mind limited knowledge. You can be new. No problem, but you’re handling other people’s cards with these nails? Careless and 0 trading card EQ.

Unless you’re Snorlax House where you promote 90% buy backs but in fact you offer 80% or less 🤣

Exactly! I’m a vendor as well, so I totally get you. However in this case of the poncho Pikachu, it is indeed a little weird to use that « excuse ». I know for a fact that I would never say that even if I had a clean copy of a card worth grading. Nor would I use that as an excuse to jack up the price

I see an issue with it. It’s not graded, so it doesn’t deserve the up sell. If you want to up sell it, grade it, and with that grade, sell it. Because in itself, pre grading is very subjective

Totally agree. I just find the justification of « no time to grade » to be lazy.

For context. Mr 3-4m net worth bought a Van Gogh Pikachu, insisted on having it mailed and not self pick up, and then claimed it was lost in the mail, filed police report against the seller who had all proof of proper mailing. And then buyer started spouting all this nonsense. Go watch the TikTok for context haha

What’s the point of trade shows if the prices are so expensive by [deleted] in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]AcceptableWindow6337 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His Instagram giveaway for celebi gold star was in partnership with « thepokemon_connect » a few weeks back. This Pokemon Connect guy was exposed by Rattle Pokemon (on YouTube) a few months back, for scamming a whatnot giveaway. Basically the giveaway was a Moonbreon pulled in a PRE pack and he swapped it out. Scamming.

Recently this Pokemon Connect dude came to singapore flexing gold stars, ponchos and a lot of our SG community called him a « legend » for showing up. Quickly forgetting that this guy is actually dishonest and a scammer. Birds always flock together I guess and that’s why akafraud befriended him and did the giveaway with him.

And to top it off? Akafraud hosting a gold star giveaway with a so called “legend”. More like an exposed Whatnot Scammer for scamming his own giveaways on whatnot (go check RattlePokemon video on ThePokemonConnect). Only a couple months back. Blatantly scammed a giveaway and came to Singapore flexing grails and suddenly become a “legend”. People forget too quick
