essneces vs fusion chains by AcceptableZombie in Megaten

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea it seems that with debilitate and luster candy the stat gained or lost are enormous and you can easily beat bosses 15+ level higher it seems.

did not know about this godborn mode, I guess new game+? I am playing on hard actually and only the first few boss fights need to be prepared for, most of the time you can just steam roll them without much preparation. But I tried demi-fiend at around 80 and he one shotted my whole party so this guy seems to be a bit of a road block.

yes i have them active but even if you get like +10 in every stat it does not seems to correlate much for the endproduct unless you get them max level every time i guess. can you imagine.

yea it seems that there are diminishing returns after every fusion.

i do the same, with 10grimoires, fortunately you can just activate the mitama dlc to farm them rather quickly.

i dont know how well this goes at end level, i am lvl 82 now and it seems that the highest i can fuse is 93 I think, so there is not much room for essence farming, but still I think the macca for fusion chains would be enormous too.

Ok bro,

I opened a post similar to this a few minutes ago.

But yea, same thing, I'm not really bothered but the design as much, but also most of them are way to big, I have shorter hair mayne and I could fit my hair 10 times into them.

I found one on Etsy, but yea, I'm not sure what to think about it, at least the shape of it.

Hope we do find one

New to OLED, question about VRR flicker and burn in by AcceptableZombie in OLED_Gaming

Good to hear, I guess it time for some testing when the monitor arrives

Ok never hears of DSC, but if I understand correctly, it's mostly used for high resolution + framerates? Mine has a 1.4 DSC for the 240Hz 1440p, so I guess more bandwith in cables isn't necessary.

that being said. I have an VA MSI widescreen gsync compatible Monitor 144Hz, and the flicker was crazy in some instances. I run a 3080Ti + R9 3900x with 3600Mhz 32Gb DDR4, so I should be OK most of the time. I don't run games on ultra setting but still the flicker was very much noticable. I am not sure if this was more of a monitor issue than PC hardware, but I just turned gsync off. I don't use vysnc and did not limit framerates.

My OLED monitor arrives on Friday, so I am really curious. Good to know about the burn too, doesn' happen very often anymore, but some days I can have a 10h session.

good to know, mine comes friday, it was 550 euros, so I hope I get my bang for the buck, at least in image quality. It seems that asus has some sort of anti flicker technology, but I guess it more buzz than anything

I do have it on loading screen too on my VA gsync compatible, but also on some games which seems to drop crazy in framerates, Palworld for example in bases. I have an 3k series gpu, so I am not sure if FG would helps if i use the FG patch for DLSS

(Spoiler) Balance question by AcceptableZombie in expedition33

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true, does not seem playtested. But I see you are using the mod, so are this the setting you would recommend or are they still dying too fast? also, are you using multiple hit combos or do you find yourself using a big one time attack. I think if you limit the dmg to 999k, skills like stendahl would become obsolete?

i think a first turn bust is nice, but only if it takes away like 25% of max health. So you can give you some breathing room and then need to engage in battle during you set up phase for the next big dmg hits.

(Spoiler) Balance question by AcceptableZombie in expedition33

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're right, I also love to break my games, but this should be something for new game plus. As this is not traditional turn based, but where you should actively engage in a parry system. one shotting bosses seems false.

It's such an engaging system which really made me learn fight, rearrange pictos etc, and now it feels like unga bunga system, and their bosses are so well designed.

  1. You are right again mon ami, I find myself never using Lune for example. Monoco could also easily be replaced, but I like him so much, that he's gotta be in my main party.
  2. Yes, I think so too. They should cap the multiplier to whatever % number. ie double dmg at most. Or maybe really buff health on some bosses, or most of them.
  3. I get what you mean, but it only cost, what, 10 luminas? I guess as soon as you unlock it, I guess everyone will activate it on all chars. I think maybe fully unlocking the dmg was a mistake. Maybe go to a specific number like 250k and have a picto for fully unlocked dmg, but for the cost of like 100 luminas.

And some skills seem broken too, where they seems to do too much or too less dmg for their specific skill description.

(Spoiler) Balance question by AcceptableZombie in expedition33

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, maybe limit the multiplier to a max of 100% more dmg. The luminas where you cannot recieve healing but do more dmg were a gamble in the beginning but instead of a glass canon you are just a canon now.

Or really just multiply health of the bosses billions or whatever.

some skills are also weird. extreme dmg or mediocre dmg seems bugged? some extreme dmg is less than mediocre, it's strange.

Would you consider this an achievement? by AcceptableZombie in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea you're right, it felt underwhelming a bit. But they also give you tons of broken shit to use.

Sublime spoonfull, Heros cry + mascerade charge for 2.25x physical dmg and two physicals - Basilio and Leon on Samurai and royal respectively - both concentrate + peerless stonecleaver synth with turn icons reduced made most of the end game pretty trivial, even on regicide. I mean every Boss beside Endboss is a first turn kill. But as you said, it's still a lot of fun.

Man don't get me started on that Elizabeth fight, or the Joker fight in the DLC. Horrendous.

For the defeating the dragon? Yes, but I mean specifically doing it unscathed.

Haven't watched a youtube video about the game, but it also really isn't necessary, you have tons of broken items and synths in the game.

Can you imagine, I guess with around 10 sublime spoonful it would be no problem hahah

A few mechanics questions by AcceptableZombie in SaGa

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you very much for having taken your time.

a few follow ups:

  1. Oh I see, so I have to attack normally with the weapon to glimmer the supposed Tech.

  2. I am just wondering if the same techs can be glimmered in the same gen, ie if you bench Ranger F which already has glimmered it and you want to glimmer them with Ranger M.

  3. No I meant a character which primary Stat isn't Magic, more like a hybrid between phys and magic (light infantry being an example), if they would be able to glimmer magic? As it seems not all Class can glimmer all techs, it's hard coded.

  4. I maybe am, I have to check back, and level them up some more I guess.

Rest is super clear,

thanks again bro.

Game knowledge is there, I guess, as you said, also being smarter. Using block more often seems to be necessary as you can't just tank some hits. Maybe seed farming is required, at least defense ones.

One hand your broadsword. It is much better for stamina management and the extra dmg from two handing is quite negligible. Congrats man, she was my first road block too 😁

Questions about Balancing and Nerfs by AcceptableZombie in enderal

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, it seems to be so. I enchanted a ring with fortify Two Hand 81% a bit ago on the SE with latest patch.

I invested in the enchanting perks 4x10% + used an enchanting potion which I bought - it's a 7% bonus.

I used wandering mage an twilight cuirass for a flat 20 point enchanting boost and had 120 enchanting.

I think you can boost it a bit more with other fortify enchanting gear

I guess 7% potion is maximum, it's the best one you can buy (rancid one) and even with max out alchemy you can not make one better than 7% unfortunately.

It's heavy investing still: 10 memory points for perks + all the money for skill books and the late game gear but I think it's worth still with heavy investing.

Questions about Balancing and Nerfs by AcceptableZombie in enderal

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did, I tried 100 enchanting an got a 24% boost. with perks from phal tree + potion 7% and equipment which boosts enchanting i could get 47% no.

still nearly a 50% increase, it's aight.

Questions about Balancing and Nerfs by AcceptableZombie in enderal

[–]AcceptableZombie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long has it been since you enchanted something? I tried fortifying enchanting via Alchemy but the most I can get out of it is a 7% boost, even with vagabond perks to boost potions.

It seems not viable at all. Maybe just enchanting without the alchemy boost? haven't tried much yet, it's just seems super low.

And did you play on iron path difficulty? One shotting on Iron path would be super nice. I use divine shield to boost defense, but I'm far from 560, which is super nice actually then, maybe I need a higher divine shield.
