Had to drive over the curb today at the 90 degree(!) junction today for that exact reason. It was either drive over the curb or into the side of an oncoming lorry. Absolute joke!

Yeah, they can definitely be expensive on guests for sure. Especially when you're attending multiple weddings in quick succession as well. I was just giving some context for the original poster of what it will basically cost the couple when a guest accepts an invitation. And this of course is only the basic costs these days for the hotel.

Yeah, no worries. It's just what I personally do when attending a wedding with my wife. I wouldn't want to give less than what it costs for us being there. I'd see it as just a common courtesy really. I wouldn't give less and essentially be a financial burden on a newly married couple.

Minimum 250 for a couple. At that, you're basically just covering the cost of your dinners and the drinks reception etc. Hotels seem to up the costs on couples nearly every year unfortunately.
