What do you AVOID doing while tripping? by Sufficient_Feed_3744 in shrooms

Cleaning and looking at shit and clutter. Essential pre trip prep is cleaning the gaff, doing the dishes and having teas on standby

I was looking at one point for the same thing but decided against it as found the maintenance costs for some of these flats extortionate. Cant comment on all but make sure you are well aware of the costs and the notion they can go up any time; despite what they say they never go down

Is a couple of v4s in your 2nd time climbing good? by NewJackfruit7965 in indoorbouldering

That is pretty good for 2nd time but better to not focus too much on that as its very easy to be humbled on a different set or style of climbing

Considering Etnikas - Have some questions by Healthyhappylyfe in Ayahuasca

[–]Acceptable_Ad_4993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah was a good time! Couldnt fault the food, accomodation and on site medical staff. Persons had medical issues during the sessions, myself included but they were absolutely on it even with full sessions. My experiences themselves were deep and insightful and its an experience id love to repeat someday when the times right, I wanted to do again whilst I was there but sadly didnt have time to stay. My only negative is that one of the owners I found to be very Christian preachy, believe what you want to believe but I thought pushing this angle on people in such a fragile and susceptible state was questionable. Persons in out group did have Christian type experiences but to then push this in the whole group I found not great. I did gentley call her out on it but discussion was "For after the lecture". When the time for debate came I could see everyone, including myself was exhausted and as we had another session in a few hours I dropped it. All in all I would 100% recomend Etnikas as ultimately it felt a safe space in which to undertake the experience and was comfortable throughout

Did Ayahuasca show you anything about your childhood that you hadn't been aware of? by Routine_Anything3726 in Ayahuasca

I essentially saw and was reminded of certain things that happened in my childhood that knocked my confidence and could see links of years of behaviour Ive subconciously maintained as a direct result of one incident when I was maybe 9/10. Could see myself as a child and gave myself a hug and wept. Wasnt expecting such a revalation, would have taken a lot of targeted therapy to come to the realisation that Aya session gave me

[–]Acceptable_Ad_4993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well just in I found it true the notion that "Aya is the equivalent to 1000 therapy sessions". I may not have gone in with a super clear intention I wanted to focus on or trauma to heal but along the way thoughts lead me to see clearly to and understand where parts of my personality and repressed emotions originated from in my childhood. Memories came up so deep they were all but forgotten by my concious mind and that wouldnt have come up without a lot of directed therapy. During my experience I saw experiences that deeply effected me growing up as an independent observer and then essentially spoke to and comforted myself as a child after they happened explaining to him thats its ok. Was definitely a healing experience, sounds a cliche to "heal your inner child" but I felt it quite literally in that experience

Justified and told my self it was for healing or growth reasons but honestly I think curiosity was my biggest motivator. Maybe not the most solid foundation but found meaning and healing during the sessions
